I totally agree. One of the worst undercards in Matchroom's history. Terrible. This is perhaps the reality that we all have to get used to going forward. An exciting main event and the rest is more or less irrelevant.
I don’t see any women’s fights listed, so that alone puts it in the top 50% of Matchroom cards of recent years
I dunno. Ruiz V Parker was close Parker V Whyte was close Triangle theory says Ruiz V Whyte is close too. I think Ruiz would have edged it though.
I've actually got sympathy with people like Kugan because if they start laying into boxers and promoters then people will stop talking to them. Or knob heads like Chisora will try to fight them lol.
This one was scientifically picked apart here Ortiz, Ruiz and Dillian Whyteleafe (and big josh) | Boxing News 24 Forum (boxingforum24.com)
You can ask questions to these guys without coming across as you're ripping them but I get it can be difficult to ask every question the fans want answered, plus he's built a good enough relationship with near enough all these guys now how long he been going for 15 years or so? Off the camera Koogs Umar this Parson chap and anyone else can explain their just out there to do their jobs.
Kugan deserves no sympathy. Privately educated mong, Daniel Kinahan defender, all round piece of ****.
I saw a Hearn interview where he was asked this. He said it’s because it’s not PPV, which kind of makes sense.
Never seen Franklin fight but based on the fact Joshua’s team know he needs to look good, seeing them next to each and listening to certain people who have seen him fight I can tell he’s tailor made for Joshua to keep it long range box safe, counter land one big right and finish him. All the mugs will forget his level and suddenly assume he can beat Fury and Usyk again then. Joshua is gun shy now anyway so he will prefer to stay out of trouble on the outside yet still eventually get the devastating ko. This fella will come out like Joe Frazier now and take his head off now I’ve said this haha.
It’s a poor undercard, but if you compare it to Fury Chisora III’s undercard which cost £26.95 on PPV, it’s chalk and cheese. This isn’t a PPV event.
Clearly Joshua fancies ending this one early however Franklin is quite durable. You’d have to say Joshua is an overwhelming favourite but he needs to get the job done within six otherwise it becomes a different proposition.
