I’m pretty confident it’s on and will be announced next week. If it’s not done by the end of next week I’ll change my tune.

Realistically none of us have any idea as to the extent of the complexities of the deal so we just need to be patient.

AJ would likely fight Usyk and there's also a strong chance Usyk might win.

If Fury vs wilder and AJ vs Uysk also after the IBF mandatory would be called for the winner of Hunter vs Hrgovic. Possibly Whyte too for WBC.

It's now or never for AJ vs Fury fight unless AJ relinquishs titles.

I just think they all want it but the site fee is a sticking point. 150m is a huge amount of money. Pure greed from everybody. Sounds like eveything else is in place.

People talk about the Saudis "look how much they put up for AJ-Ruiz 2 !" .... "they must have the money" .....
..... yeah, but, hey maybe it turns out they weren't really that impressed with AJ-Ruiz 2 .... yes, we hear a lot about it all being a propaganda exercise, 'sportswashing' the regime, but perhaps they actually give a **** about being provided with a good fight too. The 2nd AJ-Ruiz fight certainly didn't live up to what the two fighters provided in New York.

They look around and think 'why isn't anyone else payng close to 150 million for this ?' .... at the end of the day, the money's nothing to them, and I'm sure they don't mind outbidding everyone else .... but it's perhaps a matter of pride to actually not be taken for complete mugs in business by dodgy boxing promoters, who happen to be an upstart infidel from Brentwood, Essex and a dusty old Jew in America.
They don't want to rush into their pockets too readily if they think they might be sold a dud.

At this point though, it should be clear. The thing is either set up and ready for everyone to sign, or it's not.
Absurdly, I was probably saying the same thing 6 weeks ago.
NOBODY here expected us to be waiting until MAY to hear the fight is 100% ON. It's beyond ridiculous.

Absolutely ridiculous how they can’t get an undisputed heavyweight title fight over the line. It’s just pure greed from the lot of them including ‘I don’t care about the money’ Fury.

So lads do you want to earn an absolute boat load of money to fight each other? The fight should be signed after that question. Don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes but can you imagine if Hearn was coming out with some of the negativity Fury’s promoters are? He’d get absolutely slaughtered on here.

I hate the negative narrative that is getting spun. That the **** do you want from Arum? Hearn says negative in an interview, AJ releases a press release saying negative and thats the line used.

Arum has been positive for most thing until the site deal stalled as its a huge chunk of change so he is right to be a bit sceptical as he clearly couldn't raise that amount himself.

I don't think anyone's been negative. It seems they've actually waited and tried to see if this thing is possible for weeks now.
The 'negativity' from Arum (and from Fury and his Dad a few weeks ago) actually seems more like realism, honesty even. They said all along that Hearn "tells you want you want to hear" but things were never as simple as that. The fact of the matter is, Hearn's been virtually promising "it's almost done" for weeks and far more than anyone else has ..... but he always seems to backtrack a few days later, like the 'offer on the table' hasn't quite reached the table yet.

They ALL deserves to be slaughtered for their greed though, yes.

The problem with Eddie Hearn though is that he's so much about himself, you don't know what to take seriously when he talks about the 'work' he's doing.

He's spent the last few weeks basically telling everyone how great he is for working to get this fight on.
And if it all falls through, he assures us, it's not his fault and he still remains great.
That's basically the gist of every interview he's done on this subject.

And therein lies the reason I haven't watched a single interview. It's the same old nonsense, pandering to the masses of mugths who live and die on the word of Sky Sports News and their master himself.

The interviews are coming thick and fast and are 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 minutes in length. It's absolutely ludicrous.

I'm not sure why the fans themselves care so much about the belts. I just want to see the best boxers compete against each other. Leave the worrying over belts, status and money to the boxers themselves.
