It's called promoting. If everything was done your way fights would be staged in front of a few thousand people and watched by boxing hardcore only. God forbid the sport actually grows.
It does need an extra proper fight or two to make this bill attractive. There’s nothing grabbing me really apart from the main fight so i’ll be watching it in a pub. On a separate note, you’re right, Pulev is not noted for his KO ratio but it’s a cliche to say that this is heavyweight boxing. Pulev although very unlikely, could catch Joshua and knock him out.
The PPV money goes straight to the actors and Eh Day types - where is the growth? The TV audience is only a small fraction for PPVs - where is the growth? Most people on the street unaware of the existence of 95% of the boxers - where is the growth? Boxing is still an even smaller minority sport - where is the growth? Your pecker is still the same size as when you were 3 year old - where is the growth?
Well Hearn should want to showcase his other fighters to a massive audience. It's a great platform for them to make a bigger name for themselves.
Thats my point,he is filling in ppv slots, with olympians who no one gives a **** about.Thats what the nxt gen shows are for.
Ah ok, well I'd be happy to see those guys if they were having a fight that could be see as at all competitive. If they're on a show like that I expect them to be fighting for Brit/Commonwealth honours at the very least.
Hopefully Whyte v Brazaele will get made as that would be a really good interesting addition to the bill.
Not really,it's two leftovers from world title shots. No Title at stake, does nothing in the world scene, all i can see,is Hearn building whyte for a rematch with Chisora on BOX OFFICE which is a joke. Then the winner fights AJ.
You don’t need titles for a fight to mean something. Chisora-Whyte was unbelievable. The Ward-Gatti fights had no titles. People just want to see well matched 50-50 fights.
