People are asking Eddie on twitter is the AJ fight still on? is he injured ? why has there been no publicity ? Who is on the undercard? There's only 6 weeks left I really hope this show doesn't fall apart the last couple of Matchroom Sky shows have been terrible.
Hearn seems to of laughed off suggestion that Joshua vs Whyte is in doubt, I think he wants to add brook vs chaves to card but doesn't want to do it straight away or he'll be accused of pulling brook from last weekends card on purpose, still don't think the bellew fight is sorted either
Aj vs Whyte Brook vs chaves Junior vs spike Campbell vs Luis Bellew vs a world champ Mitchell If Hearn can make that card he will 100% make it ppv, if he can't get brook on there and bellew a world title shot then he is literally banking on the casuals buying it for Joshua
He said he didnt want to put the press conference until after the Fury fight to not steal the limelight and get maximum exposure for Joshua. But that was when it was Oct 24th. So im not sure how hell play it now as that fight is only 2 weeks before the Joshua fight. They might as well just anounce it. It makes sense to put Brook on as hes said he wants to fight before the end of the year. But i dont think they'll anounce it yet as im guessing his injury is still bad enough for them not to know an exact date he can fight. As for the undercard, ive not heard anything. Mitchell. Campbell and bellew down for the card and Eubank firght Spike. Which would be great undercard as long as they are all in good fights. Most matchroom cards are let down by the opponents, not the home fighters which appear in them. As previosly stated i would bet a lot of money on Eubank-Spike to try and steal the build up with some kind of aggressive, trash talking rivalary to really help it sell. I expect well here something in the next 2 weeks.
I've got a bunch of tickets to this and I hadn't considered the lack of publicity around the main event. You do wonder if there is an injury and Eubank vs O'Sullivan will take centre stage. Whyte is out training with Wlad though ATM and doesn't appear to be injured. It's a bit odd now you mention it though, the relative lack of publicity for an event that sold out in record time.
I think the 'main event' will still take place, I reckon he's just waiting to announce brook on it and for the bellew fight to be confirmed
He said in an interview the other day "if I make the card I think I'm going to make it won't need brook to make it a ppv" Beachie will be happy, the only thing he enjoys more than sucking Eddie off is paying him to do it
Hearn isn't wasting his time, I have a feeling AJ will have another "back injury". AJ will get the jitters :yep
