You know what, the closer the AJ Vs Povetkin is getting the more of a chance I'm giving Povetkin.

I've said since this was announced that Povetkin is a genuine live underdog and I'm still surprised at how many people are completely writing him off.

I think it's Povetkin's age that is putting people off. Nearly 40.

The question is why do we need a rematch?

The first fight was conclusive and it was clear who the better man was and it happened recently.

And Whyte will not be rematching Chisora in the meantime. He won’t want to risk a loss before the AJ fight, as he lost the first fight.

I think because everyone sees the route AJ is going down, copying Wlad

We all expect AJ to employ the same tactics Wlad did to nullify every threat Povetkin poses. It’s going to be a snoozefest I am afraid.

The fight is also on AJs homesoil so it’s not like the referee is going to pull him up

    The Joshua hate is real!
Who knew things would get so ridiculous that building your record, relatively rapidly, against top 15 opposition would get you the status of 'talentless fraud/ducker'.

It's pretty obvious to most that Whyte, Parker and Joshua have shown more ambition and drive than the best of the rest at HW in the last few years.
They deserve the spoils, any argument against that is speculation and bias extrapolation at best, butt-hurt moaning at worst.

With a quarter of his entire pro career fights being for world titles, AJ is a talentless, chinny, ducking robot with 3 of his last 4 opponents being the unknowns - Klitschko, Parker and Povetkin. Carlos Takam was even a late replacement for the IBF no 1 mandatory Pulev. I don't know how this fraud looks in the mirror each morning...

Hell I don't even want to see a Whyte rematch, but I can't think of a more deserving world title challenger at heavyweght right now and we all know that Wilder didn't want that work... mind you, neither did he want anything of Klitschko, Parker or Povetkin

True what you say about AJ but regardless, he ducked the fight that all fans are desperate to see.

So the logic is: fight everyone possible and impossible or be labeled a ducker.
F off. Why are people laying the blame for fights not happening at the door of the most active and accomplished guy? Only makes it more re tarded that you can't see your own nonsense.

    Utter nonsense.

Wilder needs AJ more than AJ needs him hence why it's Wilder that wants it. Listen, the games over. Old Bazza is on video saying Finkel is crazy for wanting the fight next. Young Edward is on video going all squeaky once he realised he slipped up and said Whyte is next for AJ. Froch is on video saying McCracken doesn't want it.

    Quack, Quack.

i've seen him going that way, and now he has lost his 100% KO ratio, i doubt it will bother him much winning more decisions. i can't complain too much though as i was always looking for more technical boxing ability to come from AJ instead of being a robotic clubber and it looks like he's doing that.

Who gives a toss what people say on video? What happened to judging a boxer on his actual boxing. As in, fights that have actually happened...?
He said, she said blah blah blah,
I thought this was a boxing forum not a fukkin sewing circle...
