Obviously there would never be a situation that both fights collided. However, if they did, which fight would you watch live? I personally think Aj v Wilder would still be the bigger fight, even without the titles and most would tune in for it As much as I want the Undisputed, I think I would rather see these 2 have a punch out before they retire Anyway there's always a chance that Wilder v Aj would end quickly, then we could switch over to watch Fury try and hug and jab his way to victory So what fight would YOU most like to see?
Might be a good tactic. Wilder will KO Joshua by the end of the second round. Watch a few replays and little of post fight antics going on in the ring. Then switch over to the other fight…..****….Fury just finished Usyk by bodyshot. I don’t need to see Fury sing I want to watch him fight.
There's a good chance neither fight actually ever happens, so I wouldn't worry too much about clashes. Wilder has never wanted any part of an AJ fight - he likes to dangle the idea in front of Hearn (who's stupid enough to run after it like a lost puppy) to raise his profile, but then makes sure it never happens. And Fury-Usyk depends on whether Fury can actually get into decent shape again in time - a mental as well as physical struggle, I'm sure... If he can't, I wouldn't bet against him popping PEDs and getting "caught" again or just retiring claiming a moral victory.
Seems unlikely to me that Wilder would be the one ducking when he's completely inactive, which would be insane for his career unless he was waiting for a big payout which can only realistically come from AJ.
On the other hand, why wouldn't he be ducking when he has been for almost his whole career? And not just AJ, at that. And why would he want that fight now when he didn't when he was at the peak of his confidence and peak earning potential? My personal suspicion is that he doesn't care half as much about his career as fans like to think... And it's all about making as much money as possible without having to fight anyone who could do serious damage - which would explain why he's spent most of his career generating hype knocking out cans and why the only real contender he ever fought (Fury) is famously pillowfisted.
I really would have liked to see a fight between a serious Fury and Usyk. But that guy died after the second Wilder fight. And even that version of Fury was a shell of the guy who beat Wladimir Klitschko. I mean, if Fury doesn't care enough to take his career seriously then how can he expect people to take him seriously enough to watch him? It sucks because I really love watching Usyk fight, but he doesn't have any great foils to fight at heavyweight. It's so bad that you almost want him to go back down to cruiserweight again instead. But he's probably going to retire soon anyway, so maybe none of this even matters.
I have had this thought for a while now that Wilder cares most about being called “Champ”. He values being King in his town back in Alabama more then anything else. I think that goes for a lot of fighters honestly. That’s why so many are scared to lose their 0. After the losses to Fury the “Bomb squad!!!!” shouting got a whole lot less. Another loss and he is not that Camp guy anymore. I did think Wilder was most cool when he had his short buzz cut and all he just seemed to care about was providing for his daughter and knocking people the **** out. But the success got to his head and it became about other things. He seemed to think he was a real life Black Panther movie character or something. Also a lot of his fanboys seem the be the Black Power types. I do think his ability and achievements get underrated by the majority though.
Honestly I'd have to say Joshua v Wilder as it has been talked up for wayyyy longer than a potential Fury v Usyk clash has. Furthermore Fury has had a few stinkers in his career and Usyk has produced mostly dull, non memorable performances at HW thus far. Whereas with Wilder and AJ you know what you're gonna get, knock outs!! However, had the question been if only one fight can happen I'd pick the undisputed fight Fury v Usyk but if they both happen at same time I'm tuning in to watch Wilder get knocked out within 6 by Joshua, or to see Joshua get knocked out by Wilder beforehand. Either way it's guaranteed entertainment which is no way a guarantee in a Fury v Usyk bout. In fact I'm pretty sure if it does end up happening that fight may end up being a chess match snooze fest type of fight with little to no action.
Haha good thread xD For 90% Wilder vs Joshua fight end before last bells. Both are punchers and both was in massive problem before. Dont think it go to distance. Imo its to 90% that Fury vs Usyk go to distance. Soo better option is choosing Wilder vs Joshua and after it end go to other fight. For me bigger emotion will be in Wilder vs Joshua because it would be like watching mans running on minefield... One big mistake and boooom.... Fury vs Usyk can be very ugly. Fury imo cant outboxed Oleksander soo he will be trying make advantage from his size. Clinching and many other fauls possible. I prefer W vs J.
Fat Fury leaning all over a feather fisted midget vs Wilder's ancestral touch of death in with that terrified glass jaw of joshuas I'll take the latter every time for a spectacle.
Wilder always has an exciting fight no matter who he faces. Just based on that I would pick Wilder VS AJ. Usyk is also an exciting fighter but Fury is not
