AJ vs Breazeale confirmed that Charles Martin has a Glass Jaw!

Indeed. There can be little doubt that Martin has a VERY fragile mandible, one of the most fragile seen in the HW division in a long time.. . after Wilder's of course!

 

Just confirms he was a bum who got lucky.

 

Tbf apart from CST no one else really hyped up Martin as anything but glass jawed.

 

An argument could be made that Charles Martin was the worst fighter to ever hold one of the major titles.

He beat no one before he got a vacant title shot.

He won the title when his opponent fell down and hurt himself.

And he was blown out in his first and only defense.

Probably the worst beltholder ever. Of all time. And I remember some people on here arguing that Joshua shouldn't fight him.:roll:atsch

 

Martin definitely has a glass jaw. Glass heart, too.

 

Martin stinks. Was lucky for the Glazkov injury.

To be honest, Brazzeale looked aweful. Just because he had a good chin and survived 7 rounds doesn't mean much, not once did he look threatening in the fight and he hardly landed any meaningful punch. He was slow as hell and didn't have any offensive ****nal to speak off.

He was very much a let down compared to the pre-fight talk of bravado. AJ needs to step it up with much better opponents i am afraid.

There was a point in the fight (2nd round i believe) where Breazele was seriously hurt and stumbled back (looked like he was going down), the referee put his arm out to stop Joshua proceeding and Brezeale recovered.

I reckon if the ref didn't stop joshua for those 2-3 seconds he may have closed the show earlier.

If that was the case, we wouldn't be saying Martin has a glass jaw. Another thing was that Brezeale was preparing for these punches by tucking his neck in, rather than been stand up ish like martin. Thats why i beleive Breazale was not coming back with anything because he was trying to absorb and last as long as he could to either prove he a tough guy or take Joshua into deep waters.

 

Not saying Joshua is the best thing since sliced bread... i am really concerned to his Punch variety and ring IQ
