McCall destroyed Lennox Lewis, who was 25-0 and the WBC champ. If that makes him crap than what does that make Joshua for having wins over Martin and Parker, who both are levels below Lennox Lewis?

Also, Bugner had a longer reach than Wlad as did McCall and James Smith. Bruno himself even had a longer reach than Wlad and arguably a better jab.

    Wlad: 81" reach

Bruno, Bugner, McCall, and Smith: 82" reach

    Carl Williams: 85"

If Bugner was old at 37 than Wlad was really old at 41. Bugner was at least active and coming off a win while Wlad was coming out of retirement and of an embarrassing loss to Fury.

Problem with those saying "Klitchko's level...." is, what is his level? The assumed best version of him? He's gotten beaten enough to suggest his "level" isn't exactly what people want to believe it is. Was Lamont on his level? Sanders, who was as inconsistent as a chunk milkshake? Or Ross the boss, a career journeyman who beat him? Wlad had his best run during the worst HW period in boxing.

In the mid 2000's, I'd have picked Ollie over Wlad. There was a point I was just wishing that match had been made.

No he wasn't as good, but a very good, big, ex-heavyweight champ coming off a layoff. Coetzee was only 30 and had just beaten Quick Tillis.

Now that I watch it with mature eyes, Coetzee pulled a job.

Bugner was awful vs Bruno and his body was flabby compared to Wlad`s, WK`s jab was on another level to Franks, Lewis was all over the place before Steward straightened his right out, McCall only had a punch and couldn`t exploit his reach the way Wlad could, Williams was completely shot when Frank had an unconvincing fight vs him, Morrison finished a younger Williams much quicker than Frank did.

AJ has a long way to go to reach Frank Bruno's level. His only worthwhile wins were a 40 yr old Wlad & Joseph Parker who was definitely hampered by that idiot referee.
BTW who do you think called STOP!! more Him in that fight or Kenny Bayless in Floyd - Maidana II ??

I think Joshua is better. Joshua in the Klitschko fight did something I would never expect from Bruno. In fact I'd expect if a young Bruno fought Klitschko it would've been similar with Bruno winning the early rounds but what would be different is that Bruno unlike Joshua would not be able to be composed enough to regain his strength and get a late knockout instead I'd expect him to slow and get stopped late or in the mid rounds by an older Klitschko. I think Joshua would beat Bonecrusher Smith, would've beat Witherspoon on that given night where he did Spoon did not look very good at all. Bruno would likely handle all Joshua's opposition to this point in his career other then Klitschko and a fight with Parker could go either way. Whyte I could also possibly see upsetting Bruno.

Lewis at the stage in his career when he beat Bruno would have a good fight with Joshua and likely beat him, Tyson didn't look good when he fought Bruno the first time but would still be strong enough to likely beat Joshua, the older version of Tyson that beat Bruno would also likely beat Joshua I think.

One thing with the guys Bruno fought and beat was that they we're all passed there primes even the guys who beat him were over the hill for the most part.

I disagree I think an old Wlad, Joseph Parker, Takam and Whyte are much better opposition then Oliver McCall who looked like crap when he fought Bruno, Bugner who was very old when Bruno beat him, Williams who was passed his good days and didn't look in good shape when he fought Bruno and Ferguson who also was out of shape when he fought Bruno.

Bruno's knockout over Coetzee was good but I could see Joshua replicating that especially against an older Coetzee.

Oliver McCall arguably lost to 45-years-old Larry Holmes after knocking Lennox Lewis out in 2 rounds. He wasn't that good. I had Holmes winning that fight 115-114. If it was 42-years-old that beat Mercer (also much, muc easier than Lewis did), he would school McCall easily.
