Is it April 1st already? Hughie Fury would get absolutely killed if he got in with AJ. AJ would walk straight through him as Fury has no power to gain any respect.

If that ever happens then I can see Tyson and Hughie both in retirement before November is out.

As easy as it would get for AJ. Hughie is a powder puff puncher. He might survive a few rounds by movement but Joshua could just walk through anything he has and flatten him.

It's a shame AJ couldn't get a better opponent if this does happen. First they wanted Stiverne but then WBC ordered Stiverne/Povetkin, then he wanted Pulev but he didn't want it, likely wanted more money than he's worth so will wait to become mandatory to get a bigger cut.

Fury maybe seen as too green at this stage but he's been a pro longer and had more fights and had a far more extensive amateur career. And in terms of quality of opposition their resumes are not that dissimilar. So not as bad as Breazeale or Martin but not what we really wanted.

I actually think Fury's movement could give AJ issues. I don't expect a quick blow out, he'll need to show he can cut off the ring against Fury. In some ways I think it could be a good learning fight for AJ, though a safe one as Fury doesn't have the power to be a serious threat and eventually I feel the size and power of AJ will be too much.

I think this could (emphasis on this word) be a smart move. If AJ smashes Hughie and Tyson can somehow defeat Wlad again then it sets up Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua next summer quite nicely. Along with his usual pre-fight shenanigans, Tyson can also play the "I plan to get revenge for Hughie" card. Makes it more personal, thus garnering more hype and selling more tickets and PPV numbers.

If it happens, it shows how little they rate Hughie really. Just feeding him to Joshua to hype the Tyson v AJ fight.

Don't see this happening at all tbh. Although a lot of the other British guys on the forum rate Hughie surprisingly highly so it would be fun to watch him get stopped

I doubt Eddie Hearn would risk this fight either.
It's hard to know what Hughie has in the tank. He's a young fighter. He's an unknown quantity really.
Honestly, he might not be impressive but he's looked better than Charles Martin or Dominic Breazeale ever did.
