Had AJ faced Ngannou in place of Fury back in October he'd have sent AJ to the canvas and he wouldn't have gotten back up. Now that AJ has tape on Ngannou, he'll try to play it safe. It's either AJ win by decision or an Ngannou KO, 60/40 on AJ.
Agree with your final thoughts. Especially, on Zhang v Parker being the more interesting of the fights on the card for boxing fans.
Doubt it. I think Joshua already learned the lesson of underestimating opponents when he lost his belts to Ruiz. He seems too dialled in of late to one, not take Ngannou seriously, and two, not train seriously for Ngannou. Fury is just a bit of a clown really.
AJ is an experienced champion but Ngannou showed he should not be written off. After just one fight, it is hard to make a good judgement about Ngannou but from what I saw in his one fight, he has a very real chance of pulling off a big upset.
Another awesome video! I agree totally with what you said, and would be pretty shocked if Joshua loses.
I think AJ is better than Fury. People are getting caught up in the mistaken idea that "Fury is better than AJ. If Fury struggled against Ngannou, it means Ngannou beats AJ". On the other hand, I have a suspicion that they will pay Ngannou to take a dive to be knocked out by AJ. So that AJ rebuilds his career and become a bigger name. People will say "Ngannou beat Fury, AJ knocked out Ngannou". Then they will push Usyk out of the equation somehow, maybe by robbery, and they will make the AJ vs Fury undisputed heavyweight championship fight. Lots of money will flow.
Appreciate the video Rummy. Let me begin by saying I really like Ngannou. He's a likeable guy, had great UFC success and made a valiant effort in his shot at Fury. However, I've always been somewhat puzzled by this fight. For me, Fury opened an unnecessary door to a 'crossover cash grab' type fight when he really should have been engaging in the undisputed fight. And by not taking it as seriously as he should, he legitimized Francis as a contender. I think AJ will put an end to this, and fairly comfortably. Again, I do like Ngannou. His journey in life should be a movie. And I'm happy he is getting big paydays. But I do think this is all just distraction stuff from legitimate top contender fights and a legacy of Fury not wanting to engage in those in the first place. His corrosion of the sport continues, even when he's not in the ring.
If Tyson Fury calls Anthony Joshua "Bodybuilder", then he would call this event "Mr. Olympia". Especially when we give this drawing: This content is protected Nice video Rummy, I expect Ngannou to win.
If theres a KO I expect it to be Joshua staring at the lights, but I lean towards AJ playing it safe and winning a fairly dull decision.
AJ going to box scared off the jab Will start getting tagged by a naturally bigger and stronger man and that underestimated man despite his lack of experience is going to fold the bodybuilder up and send him to retirement. AJ might have raw power unlike Fury but he lacks in too many other areas and power won't save him against Francis All hail a new king, king Francois I hope he wrestles AJ like he did Fury. AJ will gas out and adrenaline dump.
Fury vs ngannou was a show not a fight + fury is lazy and not prepared. Aj will brutally ko ngannou before the sixth round. + aj would ko fury before the 6th round also.
I think ppl are making a lot off one performance from ngannou against a clearly not taking it seriously fury The knockdown was a flash knock down and fury got right up and was fine. Ngannou did better than expected but that's about it If AJ is on form I don't expect him to have much difficulty
Yes but the problem is Ngannou was very effective against Fury. He hurt him a lot. Normally one would expect Fury to play with him like a cat plays with a mouse. It didn't happen.
