If AJ knocks down Ngannou and wins decisively, and Usyk beats Fury, mmmm.... does that make Fury the third best current Heavyweight.

    Excellent video.

Can Aj set the pace. That's what will dictate the fight. Ngannu surprised everyone he was a more than competent boxer with a few tricks up his sleeve but his output wasn't huge. He's a beast of a fella and AJ will have to be switched on but he can find the room to let his hands go I can see him winning but it will have to be controlled he can just wade in trying to take Ngannu's head off. The secret is out a little that will give Joshua things to work on. Still think its a strange fight and very risky.

AJ stops Ngannou after a hellacious beating. After the beating AJ delivers, everyone is going to realise over rating a semi retired wrestler based on a decent performance against someone not taking him seriously is a mistake.

Thanks for the video; I agree with your conclusion. I think Joshua will pepper Ngannou from range and Ngannou will largely be powerless to stop it; on the evidence of the Fury fight, whilst Ngannou is supremely strong and carries genuine power, he doesn't have particularly fast hands and his footwork is especially slow and ponderous. Of course this is all caveated on the fact we are judging Ngannou on a single fight; he could very well have more wrinkles to his game than he displayed against Fury.

That'll do for me as I got sixteen to one on the last five rounds.

He's also got deceptively long arms which doesn't seem to be mentioned much.

    This reach gave fury problems.

Nope. Usyk is the number one. Aj has to beat fury to be the number two. Imo he destroys fury

Rummy, I've been on ESB for a dog's age and this is the first time I watched one of your videos. Enjoyed it, lol'ed when you said "But what do I know? I'm not exactly Quasimodo." Well done.

I'm on the fence on this one. A lot of factors, AJ's mental state once he feels the power, Ngannou's reach as someone else pointed out, what improvements he's made.

Does anyone know if Iron Mike's coming back to help with training again? Just seeing him accompany Francis on the ringwalk might be unnerving for Joshua.

Also looking forward to the weigh in and stand off.

That'll spawn a thread or two in it's self.

Aj winning on points is obvious and ngannou knows it . He knows he will never be able to outbox aj technically .
Aj boxing from a safe distance , using his jab , is also obvious and again - ngannou knows it .

What can francis do ? Hope for his reinforced body and walk right thru aj,s jabs to close the distance and enter the infight where he can take advance of his superior muscle power to gas aj in the clinch and hope for his own hooks . I think francis knows this too but its easier to say than done .

I have no idea how the fight will go

The sooner we get the African sob story & his groupies out of boxing the better.. then we can focus on competitive bouts rather than this silly nonsense for casuals & the Saudi downs prince

    Great video Rummy...as usual.

I might need to watch it again, but I didn't hear you mention the huge power differential between Fury and AJ.

It's possible that Francis catches AJ with something big and that AJ folds, but I think that's unlikely.

    My prediction....

AJ boxes cautiously at the beginning, fairly quickly realizing the gap in boxing skill.

I think he lands something big on Ngannou fairly early, causing the big MMA man to be a bit more cautious.

After that, AJ breaks him down with a variety of punches from different angles until it becomes something like Bud's beating of Errol or Holmes whupping of Cobb.

I think AJ stops his man mid rounds, 5 - 7.

Then again, in the prediction game, I might be closer to Quasimodo than Nostradamus.
