Can't imagine it selling out. Hearing ticket sales have been slow. Could this be AJs first flop? Can't imagine too many people who paid for tickets or PPV were happy with the AJ Parker fight.

think he's padding that, he said a couple of weeks ago it was round 60K

Why does every Joshua fight have to be Stadium? It's already on PPV as it is, surely Povetking could have been O2 or Manchester arena?

Put yourself in promoters or fighters shoes.

20k tickets in an arena or 60k+ plus in a stadium?

Even selling 60,000 would still easily generate way more revenue than an arena fight.

The mental thing is 60k sold is ridiculous but because its Wembley it would be seen as disappointing?

Don't get me wrong, I do fully understand the reasoning and financial gains from Wembley.
Just feel like stadium fights should be saved for the BIG fights

I agree and I feel you can go the well to often in the sense a stadium fight loses its 'big fight' feel if every fight is in one.

I dont think they ever would of thought AJ could sell so many tickets for each fight which has now made arena shows redundant for him.

No fighter really should be selling as many tickets as he does.

Correct but I still don't see how selling say 4x the amount of tickets minimum which would be sold at a smaller arena would be less profitable.

The break even point would be well below 90k for Wembley

I think the novelty factor for Joshua stadium fights has has worn off. It was once a 'special' thing but not any more. Even if they fall short of 80k it will still be a success though.

I will ban bet anyone on here that it will be packed out come fight night.

It's not getting old, the casuals are still frothing

    Frank Warren isn't "taking over"

    Matchroom and AJ arent "flopping"

It'll be a full house on the night, deal wiv it

It will probably shift a few thousand once the promotion really kicks in.

I think they should be looking at moving AJs fights around, not just between Cardiff and London but maybe a fight in US, Germany or Africa.

There's a danger of over tapping the market, especially with a lot of other boxing cards coming up.

Hope AJ flattens Povetkin in dramatic style with an exciting undercard or booking Wembley 2 times in a row will look like hubris.

They haven't even started to push this fight yet, which tells you the sales are going fine.

Eddie hardly seems to be panicking, this thread is wishful thinking.
