Impossible to pick AJ over Tyson at this stage. AJ is still a work in progress, is yet to likely hit his peak and hasn't beaten anyone yet to suggest he could handle Iron Mike in his prime. Pointless thread.

though its interesting to note, we are eager to give AJ time to develop (hes 26 now? somewhere near there), yet Tyson we'd be happy to pick much younger than that.

I picked Mike Tyson. Biggest question mark with AJ is his toughness and you have to have that to have a chance against Mike.

    Watch Tyson vs

    Tucker
    Tillis
    Smith
    Ruddock
    Green
    Williams
    Bruno

Tyson could handle the strength, speed and power that AJ had no problem.

Well Tyson was overrated. In fact Tyson is the most overrated fighter ever. Tyson wasn't smart, had no plan b. He came out swinging like a mad man and if he faced someone who wasn't intimidated by him and someone that actually came to win(Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis, etc) Tyson was going to get his short butt whipped. End of story.

AJ is everything Tyson wasn't. AJ is smart, dedicated, actually has boxing skills. I pick AJ. We know Tyson couldn't box and especially not against big, tall, strong guys. All AJ would have to do is hold him, push him back. Tyson wouldn't have a clue what to do. I mean if Douglas could do that to Tyson imagine what AJ would do to him. And no Tyson wasn't past his prime when he fought Douglas before some fool bring that up.

There is a reason Tyson made over a 300 million dollars in career and retired with NOTHING. The guy was dumb as a bag of bricks.

People like to joke about Floyd being dumb but Floyd is actually a very smart guy. Floyd made hundred of millions of dollars and he still have that money. It's one of the reason Tyson is so jealous of Floyd.

    Stupid question

99% of HWs in boxing history would struggle with a prime Tyson let alone a 17 fight paper champ with slow footwork and no upperbody movement. if Tyson didn't beat him before the first bell he certainly would before the second

The narrator is correct... "Never in history has there been an athlete for whom so many excuses have been made"....roflmao. Like I always say if Tyson was even half of fans claimed he was he wouldn't need a million and one excuses. It's funny how his fans claim on one hand he was great but on the other hand claim he was washed up at 23 or 24 yrs old. Roflmao again.

Tyson's issues were not physical, they were emotional. If you cannot see that then you really need to change your username as you'd be a fool. Tyson wasn't brought up to be a man, he was raised as a tool of destruction and when he lost his center, he lost the ability to keep everything in balance. Cus was great at raising Tyson as a boxer, but he didn't give him the tools to navigate high stakes boxing dealing with sharks the likes of Don King, and others. The man had won and lost the world in a couple years where most can only dream of what he achieved. That's why no one wanted to fight him when he was on his roll. He was not only clearly better than anyone boxing then, he was degrees better. He became an enigma.

It's pretty clear you're a keyboard warrior and you weren't probably born when he was fighting. lol
