Yet you Tyson cocksuckers can't name one???

Tyson is a lot like Wlad. Tyson never beat an elite fighter that was in his prime. Not ONE.

We already saw this when Tyson destroyed Frank Bruno twice.

Bruno wasn't a great fighter. Not even close. And Bruno is no Joshua so why don't you clowns let it go.

So you are saying Joshua is a great fighter? What has he done so far to show that? Beat Martin and Breazealle?

And remind me of the names of the elite fighters AJ had beaten to date? You're jumping the gun on this one. Until Josuha has taken on and beaten a fighter such as Wlad or Ortiz, you simply cannot make a case for him beating Tyson off the back of his best win to date vs domestic level Whyte who rocked him badly in the 2nd. I know you've argued yourself into a corner and it's traditional with online debates to keep arguing mute points endlessly rather than accept an error of judgment, but you've got this badly wrong and the sheer number of people posting here to point this out should be indicative.

Dollbaby Melissa got it EXACTLY right...this is what she had to say when responding to what great fighters Tyson fought.

"ABSOLUTELY,POSITIVELY,NONE!!!!!!!!!!!! He was a media icon perpetrated by Bill Caton and then later Don King! The ONLY 2 GREAT fighters he ever fought MURDERED HIM!!! Evander Holyfield thrashed him and smashed him unmercifully and Lewis hammered him so badly that Tyson may now actually be a ghost!

Tyson by the way DUCKED BOTH those guys his entire career. In the late 80's during Tyson's "so called" prime,he and his Handlers ducked The Ring Magazine's Universally Recognized number 1 contender Holyfield for 2 years of Tyson's 3 year title "reign"
Holyfield made his final defense of the cruiserweight title in December 87 and immediately moved up to heavyweight and was crowned the number 1 challenger by BERT RANDOLF SUGAR'S "Bible of Boxing"
For 2 full years in the LATE 80'S following December 87 Tyson and his people avoided The Real Deal like the plague!

Then during his "comeback" in the mid 90's he and his handlers ducked the number 1 contender Lennox Lewis. This time Tyson was actually STRIPPED of the WBC belt for ducking Lennox!
Tyson ACTUALLY opted to lose his title rather than to be a man and face the number 1 contender! Talk about cowardly!

We know why he ducked both of those superior pugilists!

We also all know now of course why The small, frightened little "fighter" from the catskills NEVER fought ANY great fighters!

When the highlight of your "so called" prime is beating up Leon Spinx's petrified little brother, there's a SERIOUS PROBLEM with your resume!!!

Mike Tyson is not only without question the most overrated fighter in history, but the "Catskills Coward" is perhaps the most overrated athlete PERIOD!

He was a peek a boo fighter alright!!!
Run and hide while making millions!

    WHAT A SHAM!!!"

There are a lot of comments like that in that thread. Most folks realize Tyson was a hype job. A bigger hype job than Triple G as hard as that is to believe.

If we go off that type of logic we would have to look at both sides . like look what Douglas did to "prime" Tyson,

If Douglas could destroy prime Tyson in 10 then AJ should do it worse in 3

The mental part of the fight game is more important to PRO FIGHTERS than the physical. they all have great physical gifts , mentally you have to push yourself harder than the rest and you have to be able to perform under fire, something Tyson proved he could not handle.

AJ will prove to be many levels above the wicked disgustingly over rated Tyson is by the end of AJ''s run which has just begun. mentally AJ is just as much a giant as he is I need stature , maybe greater mentally which is what separates the good from the great...

Tyson was a good champ, AJ will prove to be a great . Tyson was too weak mentally to truly become great, he had great physical gifts but you need to have it mentally too..

He gets over rated because he brought an aura and excitement , but he never truly proved greatness IN THE RING, outside of being the youngest HW champ, granted he got to beat berbick of all gifts..

But, Come on, Tyson would fold like a spoken paper bag vs AJ

We know that AJ is not the most mobile HW in the world and that he is not exactly packing a solid set of whiskers on him.

Those are two traits that you must have to beat a prime Tyson.

As others have said I see this being much like Bruno vs Tyson.

AJ will do ok, until he gets caught, then he freezes and gets stopped in short order.

Tyson was not in good physical or mental condition fighting Buster... he'd been knocked down in sparing by Greg Page in the lead up to the bout. On the one hand, this backs up your point about Tyson not being mentally strong enough to deal with being such a celebrity but it also identifies for the Douglas fight he was not at his peak - and he nearly pulled off the win despite this. But the main factor why the Douglas upset is not a great signpost for how AJ would have coped with Tyson was Buster's jab was stratospherically better than Joshua's. AJ's jab is poor for such a big man and it was this punch that Douglas used to keep Tyson at bay. Without a world class jab a prime Tyson gets inside and lands. I believe a prime Tyson would have beaten Douglas that night and would brutally stop AJ at this stage of his career.

The thing with Tyson is he could take his opposition's best shot and keep coming forward. He really did have an excellent chin on him, especially in his prime. While I think Joshua has a fabulous right hand, I think a prime Tyson could still take his best shot and keep pushing forward on him. Mike was very fast with both his hands and feet back in the 80's, had a good shell/peek a boo defense with very good head movement (arguably the best for any HW at the time,) and he had 1 punch KO power in both hands. That left hook of his could drop any boxer in the history of the sport if it connected flush, regardless of who the opposition is.

It sucks what happened to Tyson's career after being incarcerated and fighting way past his expiration date because it makes people forget just how great the guy was, especially between 1985-1988.
