I feel sorry for dudes like you. Your obsession with certain TV guys. Are you that into Anthony Joshua? He lost so get over it. Joshua was never a good fighter. He beat up a old Wladimir Klitschko and a old Alexander Povetkin. But guys like you who are so into him Anthony Joshua because you like his body or his looks wanted to believe he was more than a tomato can. He fought a overweight club fighter and got exposed. There is no way Joshua lost this fight on purpose. He wasn't going to take a lost to his record to prove something.
That's BS, of course, but the part that's true is that Joshua wasn't himself even before the fight. Was it physical or more mental it’s not clear yet.
Joshua just had his Corrie Sanders moment. He met an unathletic looking guy who has speed and can punch.
Na sanders caught klitschko cold and he panicked. Joshua was outboxed, out fought and out skilled over multiple rounds. It’s a much worse loss imho.
Joshua dropped him, then landed another BIG right hand man, this was no play. Ruiz is just a crazy MF who has iron chin and warrior spirit in him and he fought his soul out there in the ring and hammered the Brit from the first KD to ****, Joshua should be happy he was able to make it out of the arena on his own feet. I think Hearn said at the post fight presser that Joshua is still having medical attention.
Go back and watch the fight once again and notice the temple shots Ruiz lands. Joshua never recovered from the first one, then he became fatigued, then he lost his heart.
He genuinely pulled a khan. Spitting out mouth piece, turning his back and not walking forward when asked. Very poor and quiet ‘yes’ when asked to continue. He was going to be laid out for sure and took the cowards way out.
lol... Great post but nothing was arranged. I did a thread on who took their first L and many guys are around this bracket like Wlad/ Louis, Lewis and some others.... I don't for a second believe Ruiz is a top 5 fighter and anyone thinks that after this fight is smoking good stuff. AJ will win the rematch and should have had this one bc hes the best finisher and had Ruiz down, but not hurt enough...next time will be another story. AJ wins this almost always and that's why he'll be the favorite again in the rematch, bookies aren't as dumb as the fans who will buy into a one fight scenario. Im from N.Y and im pretty sure no one wants to lose at MSG. ( best moment ever Andre the Giant stepping on Super Destroyer in the 80's I was 10 ,im on video in the crowd they zoomed in on me and thinking that was real ) That arena brings something out in ppl, could be just that gave Ruiz that push and AJ fought a non intelligent fight? IDK...lol The fight was stopped early ,bad ref call. You don't stop a championship fight like that. Early U.K stoppages don't even do this on a fight this level ,refs are getting dumber by the day. . lol
That thick hook that dropped Ruiz like a sack of potatoes was really, him going in for the kill afterward was real. Joshua getting caught and his equilibrium thrown off was real. A combination of body shots and stamina that can be lacking led to him never fully recovering. I am as surprised as anyone but he lost and showed some serious flaws in the process.
