No possibility per AJ or Ruiz to retain all the belts. So soon there will be 3 or 4 champions of the world and not 2. Probably Pulev will challenge the winner of AJ vs Ruiz for the IBF while Usyk will fight for the WBO with the winner of Povetkin vs Hunter. For me is a good thing cause rises the competition in the HWs (it will be harder for Wilder to unify all the belts), for you?

This is so ****ing annoying. Why can't we have one heavyweight champ, why do they keep getting stripped while having legitimate fights.

    It soils the sport imo.

Yep - this is very likely

And may actually make matchups better in some cases....

If there was an only one champion, it would happen that every 4 months there would be on the top of the rankings a different fighter...too stressing...better 2 o 3 detentors.

I'm certain that it's Fury who'd be facing Usyk for the vacant WBO belt.

I'd prefer Usyk vs Whyte for WBO belt since Whyte is big guy while Povetkin and Hunter aren't. When Usyk beats Whyte people will finally admit he can beat prime big hard-hitting 250 lbs heavyweight

Guess its sets up some fights to be bigger.

Whoever wins between the winner of AJ-Ruiz and Fury-Wilder will be considered the man regardless of belts.

Usyk will probably pick up a WBO belt, and being with Hearn should be easy to make.

The belts will all be back on one waist within a year I reckon.

Seems Usyk is not ready to fight for the title with a big name opponent, Pulev instead is. For this probably he'll meet the winner of the eliminatory among Povetkin and Hunter.

Maybe bc a certain fighter ducked 120 million when we wanted an undisputed fight ,does it really matter anyway, its not like the belts can be held all at once long term anyway and you still get ppl arguing who the best is so what does it really matter with so many belts these days ? lol

Everyone knows who the best guy is and it has to be whoever has the best resume not who holds more belts.

This doesnt make sense. AJ is going to fight Pulev so he can unify with Usyk for the WBO on DAZN later ,if Ruiz wins there is no unification with Usyk bc Ruiz will fight Wilder .If Joshua were to fight Usyk getting the IBF belt back is that much harder. It has nothing to do with Usyk not being ready, its a smart move by AJ/Hearn .

The question is AJ or Ruiz cant defend all the belts with two different fighters in the same period of time. The IBF and the WBO have been clear, they want (after AJ vs Ruiz) 2 different defences in the same period. So one of the two or defends the IBF or the WBO.
