Wouldn't surprise me. It has to be an American really - realistically then it's only going to be Ruiz JR, Hunter or Bryan due to availability. He's from New York too which will also be desirable.

He's a significant step down from Hunter or Ruiz JR though which is a shame.

    Quality resume.....

So we have gone from a year ago 100 million dollar fights and a round robin of AJ,Wilder,Fury and possibly Whyte to a Bum Carousel

    I actually blame Hearn

In one of his first IFL interviews after Miller tested dirty, Hearn was talking about potential replacements and totally dismissed Trevor Bryan as a possibility basically saying he's not known enough and hasn't fought anybody and didn't care that he was from New York. He's going to look like a right eejit now if it turns out to be Trevor Bryan.

Hopefully Hearn and co. have leaked this themselves to throw us of the scent even further because they're going to announce it's Ortiz. Still hoping!

Trevor Bryan is absolutely and completely trash as an opponent for AJ.

Hunter or Andy Ruiz Jr are respectable late stand ins.

If only Trevor Bryan is available then you might as well just cancel the card. Or find another big fight as headline act, and put AJ-Bryan as a main support.

I suggest Usyk vs Takam as a new headline and then AJ vs Bryan as a support. You could pull the Usyk card as a rescue measure

That’s not a bad shout actually. I think Joshua should definitely be on the undercard.

It's not a bad suggestion, but couldn't see that happening in a million years. I think for now, if Joshua fights, he's main event, no exceptions. I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hearn has kind of given the game away imo. AJ v someone like Hunter with an extra heavyweight clash to bump up the undercard. To be fair I expect the undercard to cost a small fortune with some world titles on the line.

Pop quiz. What's this potential fight got in common with the thrilla in Manila?

I'd be very surprised considering Hearn has already ruled Bryan out and has two better boxers in Hunter and Ruiz Jr that genuinely seem interested in fighting AJ.

Why does Tony Dosh just not go on holiday and fight one of the cowards in Nov/Dec?

He does not need the money and his CV with 21 puddings already on it will simply not be enhanced by increasing the number to 22 puddings when he beats pudding Ruiz or Jennings.

Given the size of his belly Ruiz knows a thing or two about puddings.
