Pad work is useless? Wtf are you talking about? Pad work is patience, timing, and when a guy is crowding you, that's when you let go to counter. Somebody get this ****en reject out of here lmfao!

Many fighters especially those with poor hands primarily use pads and in some cases pads only and limited sparring

Calzaghe and Benn used to favour more pad work over sparring

Sugar Ray Robinson, Joe Louis, Willie Pep, etc never did pad work. It is essentially worthless. If you think looking all cute doing predetermined movenents make you a better fighter you isn't know ****. You might want to look up Emanuel Steward and Eddie Futch thoughts on 'pad work'. I will take their opinion over yours any day.

Bruce Lee would have said, "Pads do not hit back." Actually, Bruce Lee did say "boards do not hit back."

Pads are good for practice, but an actual fight is different, you have punches coming back..............you can also look good on the heavy bag or speed bad......................Vlad looks fantastic in sparring, hitting pads, speed bad, foot movement, head movement, etc., not so sure Vlad will do much clinching, could be somewhat like Vlad Vs. Jefferson.................Vlad is ripped better than ever, really good shape....................Vlad easily out boxed Joshua in sparring not too long ago, how much has Joshua improved? How much has Vlad gone down hill? Nobody will know until after the fight is over, but Vlad is, by far, superior to anyone Joshua has ever fought...............Whyte could not compete at all, yet he staggered, hurt Joshua and he can't punch............

Oh I don't disagree that Wilder's a danger to anyone with those wide, winging shots he throws which when they connect carry enough power to drop anyone.

My point is that AJs punches are straight and powerful which take less time to travel from fast twitch signal to connection. If they both throw at the same time AJ lands first and it's good night Deontay.

AJs much tighter defensively and has quick reactions, with Wilders punches coming from a long way back AJ gets the chance to move or block. DWs is much looser and often stands with his guard very low or even with his hands by his side, looking to launch those bombs. He's wide open through the middle for a big man who can walk him down while throwing short powerful shots straight down the pipe.

Just look at what you wrote lmfao. You're weak, pathetic, and what the **** are you even talking about looking cute? You've never boxed before lmao. You've never even tried the sport lmao. I don't care who did or didn't use pad work clown. To say that it's useless because steward (who did pad work) and Futch have thoughts on pad work is truly degenerative on your part. You created this fake ass answer after what I wrote and googled "trainers that didn't do or like pad work" lmfao. Steward did pad work and Futch did too lmao...

Steward did pad work as a warm up. Futch thought pads were useless. You are a total fake and don't even know about Boxing. Hard sparring is where you hone your craft not on some silly pads. Pads are for YouTube trainers.

"Hard sparring" puts way too much wear and tear on the body. It's like have dozens of real fights during camp, it's ignorant to believe hard sparring is the best thing to do because it's actually the worst to do. Pad work is very very important, how one could think otherwise is befuddling
