Also I better not see anybody who gave Fury stick for fighting Chisora decending this one. It's just as bad.
Whyte has always looked beatable when hes stepped up, he went life and death with Chisora twice. Barely survived vs Parker and would've been KO'ed with 30 more seconds in the fight. Was sent to the shadow realm vs a past it Povetkin. Dropped vs Rivas and just about held on Rivas has done nothing of note since. And I thought he was very lucky to beat Franklin in his last fight. This fight is a dud and has no significance.
Meh fight, but certainly looking forward to seeing Whytes eyes roll back again after another uppercut KO.
Whyte has value as a gatekeeper. He's a decent barometer for measuring how good a heavyweight really is. Once you've beaten him once whats the point in doing it again. You might as well fight Kevin Johnson while you're at it lol.
It's bad, but I don't think it's THAT bad. It's basically a fight for the casuals, hardcore fans know it sucks but Joshua was never going to fight anyone decent as he's rebuilding.
They are rebuilding Joshua and Whyte is the level of opponent he needs right now. Plus those two have their own personal little rivalry. Plus those guys, although rivals, know each other and are happy to give each other the payday. I am all for it.
I don't mind to see that fight, but not PPV. There are no PPV worthy HW fights except undisputed fight.
Joshua is mentally shot and is rebuilding so a rematch with a shot Whyte who really only has a punchers chance is acceptable at this point in both there careers as well as the fact this fight will id imagine do quite well financially. Joshua should win as expected then look to be getting back in the mix amongst the top rated of the division. A loss for Joshua however would be as good as a career ender imo and also I can’t really say for definite what a win for Whyte would really bring him, well certainly bragging rights but where does he go from there ? maybe an eliminator for another title shot, who knows !
I see it a lot differently to most then, it's the right fight to make for both fighters. If Eddie delivers Wilder for AJ in December should he come through then he's delivered what he said he would from the start? Plus I think this fight is more even than the first time they fought.
It will be a interesting spectacle to watch in the bar, with the drunkards. I remember the first fight, when Whyte attacked Joshua after the bell. The drunkards in the bar started fighting with each other too, and it had to be broken up... lol
Ruiz is a at least 2x better fighter than Whyte, there is no doubt about that, but Wilder won't fight Ruiz. The fight won't happen. And i expect typical level of opponent of Wilder, as his usual. If i'm wrong though i will gladly come here and say that i was wrong. As far as Fury he is almost 100% fighting Nganou though.
AJ will actually fight Whyte off a jab this time...if he doesn't and gets heated AGAIN it shows he isn't cut out for boxing...well we already know that.
