This content is protected Another bad news for some of the Fury fans, claiming that AJ is ducking Wilder.
That's great news, the pressure probably won't be like it used to be when the belts were at stake, somehow I have to go with Wilder that he will win...
The fact the fight potentially happens doesn't change the fact they've ducked him for years. It's like saying Canelo didn't duck Golovkin to fight Khan and others because he eventually fought him when Golovkin had aged some more. Or that Saunders didn't duck Golovkin because he eventually sent a contract (after saying on camera straight after the Lee win that people need to let him age Golovkin a little to take the edge off him, then he'll make the fight). Wilder's age says it all. He's old. He relies on speed and explosiveness not technique. They've waited until he's past it to lower the risk. Matchroom have obviously had these discussions behind the scenes, only a fool would believe otherwise.
Same way he kills Fury 3x time, right? And yeah people never fail to amaze me. Fury/Wilder fans(they are essentially the same), now change the narrative and still don't wanna give credit, where credit it's due. Some fans are just beyond ridiculous. Funny though, as i had to prove you wrong once again. WIlder himself by his own stupidity admit he ducked AJ, just to fight his cherry-pick gone wrong - Fury. Not that was needed, as he offered 120m. by DAZN for 2x AJ fights, biggest payday in his career by 100x. and he rejected.
I think Joshua could win this IF he plays the right gameplan which I think is to take advantage of how much Wilder overcommits with the right and lack of head movement. Particularly keeping a high left guard when coming in as Wilder likes to use the right hand for headshots and counter like hell with uppercuts whenever he does throw the right hand. I've noticed most of these super heavies have no head movement, yet Joshua is one of the few who actually does. On top of that Joshua actually has a pretty good uppercut. IMO Wilder is vulnerable defense wise and could be clipped given Joshua is a pretty big puncher himself and has better boxing skill. That said, one big shot from Wilder can end all of this in a split second. Who knows though. Maybe the fear of knowing that will be what kicks Joshua back into high gear?
Yeah we saw that in his last fight. Until he goes into the ring and prove he is better, he actually isn't. Maybe in some folks head, but just that. But we all know about Fury fantasy record, so yeah i feel you.
Not the first time they've said that, not even the 2nd or 3rd time. If it does happen now it just highlights was a shambles boxing is in. This fight mattered back when they both had titles and were undefeated, now they are both shadows of their former selves, so quite frankly who cares at this point other than for bragging rights.
Just to clarify, MikeCoppinger is the most reliable source out there. He reported first for Fury - Usyk, and the Day of Reckoning fights. So his info is 100% spot on.
