Might as well be talking shite just keep Joshua's name relevant now that Fury-Usyk is likely on.

Exactly , I'd be very surprised if we ever see Josh in with Wilder as imo it would be Anthony's last fight .

This soap opera continues and the fight is not even in sight, both of them should retire and completely disappear from the media and the upcoming heavyweights should get a chance...

Usyk, Fury and Zhang are all ranked higher.

AJ and Wilder is for no belts and is two men who haven't won a meaningful fight for years.

No way I'm paying for it.

I'm not arguing with any of that, I'm just saying this will be PPV and an expensive one at that.

This fight isn't happening anytime soon. The fighters and their management teams wanted it but only if the Saudi pot of gold manifested, which it did not.

So now you have the fight for a lot less money than they'd contemplated, and neither side is likely to agree to that. So Joshua instead pursues a belts strategy whereas, as @Dubblechin mentions, Wilder drifts toward retirement. There are no fights for him: Fury obviously not, Usyk is going to Fury then mandos or retirement, and the Joshua fight got spoiled by the Saudis.

Wilder isn't going to take short money to fight someone like Hrgovich. I do think Wilder/Zhang is intriguing, tho where would a fight like that take place? If in the US, the PPV might bomb like Wilder/Helenius did.

With Joshua and Wilder fighting on the same card on December 23rd there seems to be renewed hope Joshua and Wilder might actually fight each other. But is it misplaced hope?

Hearn is already redirecting his and Joshua's focus away from Wilder and ironically, in the direction of 'Big Baby' Miller :

“Joshua wants to smash him up. Don’t forget the beef that those two had in New York, then the round table which nobody has seen yet but I’m sure it will get released one day soon. There is history there.

We know why the fight didn’t happen and there are a lot of people from our side that aren’t happy with what he did. The fight has never come back round because I felt like he didn’t deserve it. But sometimes time is a good healer and if he can beat Daniel Dubois then I’m sure he’ll scream and shout in that ring and say ‘I want AJ’ and then commercially that fight becomes big. Good luck to Jarrell, I don’t have dislike or hatred towards him, I don’t like what I saw but good luck.”

I am actually starting to think that they might make Fury vs Joshua if both win.
