It ain't just about AJ - it's also Matchroom and Sky Box Office as well. If the numbers drop, Eddie and Adam Smith will probably have something to say about it to AJ privately. AJ may have FU money, but AJ still isn't bigger then the sport yet. Adam Smith had to come out with a statement regarding what AJ said, Sky had to answer their subs because of AJ's stance. He still isn't at that level where he can mug them all off while he laughs to the bank. Plus AJ is a money man, he has always been astute with his finances. If his bottom line is starting to be affected, then he will change his stance or tone his views down publicly.

AJ isn't upstaging Fury, certainly not by fighting Pulev.

That isn't AJ's fault, it's a mandatory but AJ is now playing catch up, Fury has powered past him with that Wilder win.

Fury is WBC, lineal champion and even holds the Ring Mag Belt. Fury has just beat an unbeaten power puncher in his own country, a fighter who AJ couldn't/wouldn't fight.

AJ has some catching up to do, in his last two fights he was smashed around by a little fat man and then run around for 36 minutes against a little even fatter man.

Boxing in 2020 moves fast, combined with "you're only as good as your last fight" and AJ is going to struggle with regards to Fury and the love that Fury is now receiving.

Well depends how much it means to Joshua really. He has enough money to walk away whenever he likes now.

Black residents constituted around 3 per cent of the United Kingdom's population in 2011. Fair point, but that percentage has gone up since 2011, there have been loads of immigrants entering the country since then.

AJ did run a lot v Ruiz but he also out-scored him too, so you`re being slightly harsh on him.

His numbers won`t drop, this isn`t the 80`s, nobody expects him to be a patriot like Frank Bruno (true Brit).

Oh i agree, he won and won well.

But Hearn himself says "its about entertaining" and "spectacular fights". Hearn is the first to say about other fights being boring, not entertaining so it works both ways.

While AJ did what he had to do and win, that's all, get those belts back, he did it in a way that wasn't "spectacular".

On the other side, Fury has had two fights with Wilder, the first had that "moment", the 12th, a round that will go down in boxing history. The fight itself was a low output and sometimes hard to watch fight but it had that "moment".

The second was spectacular, it was one of the best heavyweight performances for a long time, it was entertaining (although one sided) because nobody expect that sort of finish and performance..

Well actually Big John Fury predicted it and so did a few Fury fans but most didn't expect Fury to steam roller Wilder in that fashion.

Now AJ has to up his game again, he has to fight Fury or Wilder, maybe reignite that rivalry with Whyte, something for the British Boxing fan to get their teeth in to.

Pulev isn't gonna cut it, it's a mandatory so we can't be too harsh but to even suggest he can upstage Fury Vs Wilder against Pulev is ridiculous, regardless of his performance, the only way he could upstage that and be the fight talked about is if he loses.

Hearn has to get his backside in to gear and get Fury signed, Wilder signed or even start AJ and Whyte beefing again.

I don`t think young people are as nationalistic in the UK as they were in previous generations, why should he patriotic? I don`t think it`s a big deal and he`s proud of his Nigerian heritage also.
