I just got off work ever read this news on ESPN

sure it’s not signed yet, but it sure looks like it’s almost there and actual contract signing is next, Given that Finkel/Eilder have finally agreed to Eddie’s UK proposal

If this finally gets made, it will result in the first fully unified heavyweight Since Lewis, correct ?

    Fingers crossed.

After Wilder knocks AJ's head into the tenth row, he STILL will not have faced a truly credible opponent.

Finally Wilder will finally get his hands on his first body and half of the people on this forum who are not boxing fans will be gone as a result

AJ should win this, if he doesn't then heavyweight boxing is in a worse state than we ever could have dreamt!

We can't have wilder being the front man of the sport ffs... Now, that would be embarrassing...

    Yes, he did.

And even most Wilder fans have a problem with that move. Especially since it was easy money, and would have made the AJ fight an even bigger event.

    Fricking Al Haymon strikes again....

Wilder is a bum killer, but he's fun to watch even with his shitty technique.

AJ is usually fun but has had some boring fights lately.

Not rooting for anyone here, but great fight regardless.

Yes, they are not signed yet, and things could happen to derail it before it’s signed

But, this latest news sounds like the fight is VERY likely to get signed and sealed shortly

Eddie’s UK offer has been accepted by Finkel, and Eddie says he’ll get get them s contract to sign right away.
They are saying most doable timeframe would be Oct or Nov at Wembley

I agree, it all sounds excellent, it's come along way since a month ago when it looked like it wasn't happening this year but I'm old, cynical and seen this sort of thing happen before and then end up disappointed.

Oct at Wembley sounds just about OK but November might be a little more risky with the weather.

We will see, may well be Cardiff, I'm sure they have a retractable roof on the Millennium stadium.

Great news that it will be at Wembley. Cardiff is OK but not as good as Wembley. 90,000 fans in the capital, should be a great event.

Yeah, agree 100%. It's a weird, irrational mindset, to **** on another quality opponent like they are. Plenty of stifsto not like about either one, but there is no legitimate question it is #1 against #2. Why not embrace that, and talk them both up? Tribalism.

I’m anxious to see them fight, two devastating, undefeated punchers with not much in the way of defense. I don’t like or dislike either one. Joshua has the better experience but Wilder is quicker. I’ll start rooting for the guy that has the bigger pair for taking chances to put on a good show during the bout.

Well said, it’s #1 vs #2, it should be a great fight and to the victor goes the spoils.
