It's dumb as hell because he had major problems against Wlad and admitted afterwards he came in too heavy.

Almost as dumb as Penfold Dave Coldwell advising the Liverpool plumber to pack on the pounds after he gassed out twice against Tony Thompson.

Maybe he has weights in his kecks? Or has a bout of constipation?

Couldn’t see him coming in lighter tbh...though it seems an odd thing to say if not true...but perhaps it was a double bluff...give his opponent a false sense of security thinking camp has gone badly when they intended on coming in lighter...

Don’t know if anyone saw the clip of AJ jogging with fans but it looked like he was struggling to get those legs moving there massive.

I’m surprised he’s put on more weight but only time will tell

Can only see this being a case hoping to blast Takem out early. Which is strange cause they don't need to really. As long as AJ wins the money keeps on rolling in. Either that or they want to be able to out power him on the inside but surely Joshua doesn't want the fight there either....Be interesting to see how it goes if he cant get Takem gone inside 4 rounds. I still remember that first assault that put Wlad down... he was blowing hard and looked ragged after and left him self open punishment,

Maybe it's all BS to sell the fight.

    1. Raise expectations that AJ will be a lot lighter than last time.
    2. Make sure, by whatever means, the scales read AJ's weight as heavier than last time.
    3. Witness the rumours of an impending upset swirling.
    4. Money at the bookies flying on Takam.
    5. Guaranteed PPV revenue maximized.

This is the sort of thing I was talking about. He seems to love the bodybuilder physique too much. He's gonna continue to get heavier and then he will gas against someone who can take the hits and stop him late. Takam is obviously a huge underdog and I think Joshua will win but there is a chance for an upset here.

Yeah, if he carries on growing he'll end up like Shannon Briggs.

What, you think that he’s following that same diet and training supplements as Briggs?

I think Coldwell wanted more strength/sturdiness out of Price, that was the reason for the weight increase. Like Thompson said, his strength is/was lacking evidently. Thing is, that combined with nervous energy being burned up and your ****ed either way. His fitness I'm sure wasn't the problem, its all mental. If your scared your burning up energy rapid !

18st 2lbs for me is a little too much, I can only say AJ going to blast this dude is a few rounds that's the thinking behind extra weight. If the fights goes into middle rounds let's see how AJ's fitness holds up.. Could get interesting..
