If Joshua goes to the body, he is leaving himself wide open to a short hooker with faster hands.. That's what I would tell him to do if I wanted him to lose
AJ can only win by a lucky punch or by imitating Wlad. The second is difficult si ce AJ doesnt have Wlad's footwork or jab.
AJ did a lot wrong in the first fight. I think he can win the rematch. A little while before the fight I was getting the feeling that this fight might be a Lewis / Rahman I replay but never voiced my opinion, dhoh! I don't think AJ will have as easy a time in the rematch as did Lewis cuz I think AJ has lesser skills than Lewis and Andy has better skills than Rahman. However I think AJ gave up his advantages, took Ruiz lightly, and had no game plan. If you want AJ to work the body perhaps the best shot is the jab to the body and maybe circle / step to the side and shoot the odd hook to the body, but he's got to be sound defensively and not rush things. Pawing with the jab and leaving it hanging aint a good idea, gotta jab with a purpose. He needs to use his height and reach advantages plus his athleticism. AJ seems to box small, but Lennox boxed big, using his size, AJ gives up his size advantage. Box from the outside, using feints, footwork and head movement. If he doesn't keep Ruiz guessing hell get countered to death again. Anthony hit Ruiz right on the button many times and Andy took it, showing that he isn't a one punch KO, but things are only going to get tougher for Andy. Nobody is sleeping on him now.
My game plan for AJ in the rematch was criticized a lot by many boxing experts in this forum. Well....it's O.K. for me. At least some people above gave me some good ideas how AJ should do to beat Ruiz while some people just came up here to criticize and attack my idea and then left. If you think that my idea is bad then you should give yours for the sake of argument . Not just criticize and insult . That's unfair and BS! AJ might do the body attack in the rematch who knows?
Then don't just insult and criticize my idea and leave. Can you give me your game plan how AJ can do to beat Ruiz in the rematch? C'mon man! Let me see and read it. I will consider if it's a good or bad game plan. Some people just like to criticize others while they don't even have their own ideas how to do it.
