He's coming to my house to play poker with me and my boys that night. I'll get the PPOV so he'll see th e fight. He could Skype in a post fight interview.
Disappointing he won't be there. Would help build interest for an eventual fight with him. This should be a priority not his sponsors.
To attend would indicate an interest of a bout in the near future with either, which MR and Joshua have no intention of doing. So makes sense and I called this weeks ago. The draft fight schedule for AJ is clearly Whyte, Pulev then either Miller or Usyk. Ties him up nicely for the next 18-24 months and takes Joshua to his early 30's so a bout with Wilder/Fury is going to form part of his retirement scheme if it ever actually happens. I can only see that changing if either Wilder or Fury looks spectacularly bad, and more the likely the latter.
His management team know his limitations. That’s why he seldom ever takes part in these sort of theatrics - if it’s not something they can rehearse, they won’t do it. Joshua would come off worst in a face off or WWE style confrontation against either Fury or Wilder because he’s not a talker and has no charisma. It would damage the brand if he looks silly in that situation and isn’t a risk they’ll take.
Which one would you idiots do? Attend a farce fight between two clowns in an arena that is mostly empty? Or do something for one of your many sponsors who pay you millions per year? Yeah, I thought so haha
Finkel cheated Joshua out of the Wilder fight..do you guys really think he will help promote a u.s based fight while the two idiotic teams trash him? Lol
You would think his sponsors would have a vested interest in AJ being there as to build up the biggest fight in boxing, that could reap rewards for them when (I use "when" loosely) the fight comes around. But AJ and matchroom are terrified of Wilder.
Well Wilder didn't attend Joshua/Povetkin, is that telling? People will look into this and draw whatever conclusions suit their opinion, but in all honesty it doesn't mean a thing other than he has a prior commitment and that's more important to him.
