Let's just say he beats wilder and Joyce and let's says a younger contender like hrgovic or Anderson but loses to fury then rides of into the sunset how would his career been seen
1) Where AJ has been lately and is currently, accomplishing what you posted would be a strong run. Many would say unlikely. 2) To answer you question: It'd be seen a very good, maybe just short of a great career. He was a 3-belt champion.
His legacy would be beating past-prime fighters, all the wrong side of 30 or into their forties. The same people who justify Lewis retiring mid-30s and other heroes being shot at that point will claim AJ's wins are great. Wlad 41 Povetkin 39 Pulev 40 (+Covid) Joyce and Wilder, 37/38 depending on the date. With Joyce and Wilder, he clearly had the opportunity to fight them much younger. The idea everyone was avoiding the AJ 'pay-day' is completely ridiculous. Nobody avoids that kind of money in boxing, in fact, they typically sell-out to get it.
Did you catch your mother flicking the bean over Joshua or was it your mrs? Why always the tears over Joshua?
If he does all the above then he's got a HOF career. Would be seen as one of the better fighters of the era.
His mask slipped and he is no longer the Mr Nice Guy anymore, now he is the villain of boxing. Post Usyk and Franklin behaviors prove it.
Wlad was still one of the best in the division and had just lost his lineal championship. Pulev was just a BS mandatory. Povetkin was undoubtedly past his best. But he was also a mandatory. Joseph Parker was a legitimate contender and a belt holder. And it´s not like Joshua never tried to make any other fights. All in all, it has been a good run. Even the guys in their mid 30s or past it, they were still contenders in an otherwise crap division.
Joshua has had a great career Unfortunately, winning big so early in his career has hindered any additional development he could have made
AJ has had a fantastic career and could retire today with a great legacy. How many people dream of winning a world heavyweight title? AJ has achieved the dream. I'm not an AJ fan but he deserves respect for what he has achieved, no one is trying to claim he is the greatest of all time, not many are even claiming he is the best of this era.
A good fighter with a fairly decent resume. Let’s not kid ourselves though, he’s not going to accomplish a fraction at this stage. He’s going to fight once a year, take one or two embarrassing KO losses and slink off into retirement.
