Id have him at Blackburn but he would just cost us $$$$$$, kick **** all goals and play like 5 times a year atsch
Ha ha. You're probably right. I think this is the time to be signing him though. He's copped a pizzeling from the press over there about being "sicknote" Harry. I'm sure he'd be determined to prove a few wrong.
Yeah it would be a huge move for a ELP team to take him on. Poor bugger, grew up loving Liverpool but now they want him dead
A racehorse owner I imply and a racehorse owner it is champ. Why is that so hard to believe ? It's not like I'm out buying sons of Danehill. Principality was only a $35,000 (although he was my uncles horse) who won G1 The Blue Diamond Stakes beating eventual Golden Slipper winner Flying Spur (Prince ran 8th in the Slipper) along with two listed races (Vain Stakes and Geelong Derby Trial) He ran against Octagonal, Our Maizcay, Nothin Leica Dane, etc... My best hasn't done as well although Prince Of Truth (POT or Prince III....Prince II died of a heart attack without racing) is coming along well. He had a setback after becoming cast in his stall and cutting his hind leg although he only nicked the tendon. He is a winner of 3 from 7 and ran 4th of 16 this time last year in a stakes race at Doomben behind Empires Choice who went on to win the Queensland Derby. He is being set for the Victorian Spring Carnival. I should add just to keep it real that I only own 25% of this Carnegie gelding....although my brother owns 30% which gives us the controlling interest. I'll make him my avatar just for you.
This content is protected While I'm at it I can't leave without mentioning BIG BROWN who will attempt to be the first horse in 30 years to win the US Triple Crown this Sunday morning (approx. 7.00am Sydney time). Big Brown is a lovely strong colt who has bloodlines going all the way back to one of Australia's greatest ever thoroughbreds in CARBINE. He also carries a x4 cross of Nearco which makes him closely related to one of our modern day champions in LONHRO. While many have won the first two legs of the crown (Kentucky Derby + Preakness) including Smarty Jones 2004, Funny Cide 03, War Emblem 02 and Real Quiet in 1998, the Belmont Stakes requires that extra ounce of endurance which seperates the champions from the legends, and makes the Triple Crown so hard to accomplish. For this reason we have to go back to Affirmed in 1978...about the same time Josey Wales was cutting oranges for Rhyl West United, to find the last winner of the US Triple Crown. Yet Big Brown does appear to have the goods and could follow in the hoofprints of past immortals...including those of 1937 Triple Crown winner War Admiral (son of the mighty Man'O'War), who just so happens to be among B.B's ancestors. That said, Real Quiet also appeared to have the goods, leading six lengths into the Belmont Park straight, after being successful in the first two legs, before being run down in the shadows of the post and denied the Triple Crown by a nose!!! The jockey of Real Quiet, Kent Desormeax, will be hoping to put that behind him and make history as he takes the ride on race favourite Big Brown. Below is a video of Secretariat who won the Belmont Stakes by 31 Lengths.
