Once again your analysis is astute. Even when I don't agree with you I can see where you are coming from. I was on a transatlantic call with Azumah 1 the other day and he like you sees a real possibility of Cotto winning in the 1st 3 rounds akin to Thomas Hearns versus Roberto Duran however for each guy to win they need to able to fight the right fight as they both have have things to damage the other. As for Khan there really is not much else to say as you have captured it all.
Paul McCloskey is another one I have quite a lot of time for hence great chance for him and Ajose to meet down the line but the way things are shaping up likely will not be for the British title but hopefully the world belt. What we can say is that McCloskey is and was an undefeated British Champion as Ajose is an undefeated African, Commonwealth and British Champion. McCloskey is a factor and there is no getting away from that hence we are keeping an eye on him and his progress.
Ajose Olusegun is one of the best P4P in Britain today.... He just hasn't been given the opportunity to prove himself!! He just needs a break, he will become a legit world champion!!! So will McCloskey.. he's another quality operator!!! These two shouldnt meet for nothing less than a world title at this present time, their both world class operators.
I like Ajose I think he has got skills and he can do very well. I agree he perhaps hasn't had the opportunities sometimes but boxing is a business and fighters who sell loads of tickets are always gonna get more shots than those who don't (look at Hatton). I do also think Olu looks at things within that division with a blinkered view sometimes and is maybe sometimes unrealistic with his view on all things related to Ajose but hey you can't blame him for that, he's his fighter and he backs him 100% which is admirable. There's also nothing wrong with looking to get to the very top, bit of ambition. Good luck.
I totally agree with you mate... I do feel if he was with FW his fan base would be alot bigger than what it is now!!! He's been held back for tooooo long.. Inactivity etc He needs a big fight soon... witter, ortiz, holt or even a weaker world champion like Urango!!! Alot of people are underestimating Michael Jennings chances against Brook, i'd like to see jennings take him into the later rounds & see what he's got!!
Dont see Ajose beating Jo Jo Dan. Jo Jo Dan towers over him and has a much longer reach, is more consistent and has better skills. Whilst Ajose can be world-class on his day. His days rarely ever comes. The only chance Ajose has is a knockout victory and he hasn't look like knocking anyone out in recent fights.
I don't know who Jo Jo Dan as but I do know Ajose will beat Ionut Dan Ion decisively. Interesting the opponents who have towered over Ajose like Scott Haywood and Ali Nuumbembee got stopped.
Good point Olu... Ajose has performed very well against taller opposition!!! Are you friends with Ajose or have you just followed his career?? Do you think he could do with a change of promoter?? I feel he should be known in America & knocking down the door for a world title short!!!
Ajose has no hope of a world title, unless some Gavin Rees situation occured. He has lost rounds to bad fighters, a very obvious sign it isn't there. Dan has a very padded record, but has lost less rounds to bad fighters, at this time I am undecided upon who will win.
