I am not sure what I meant by that either right now to be honest but anyway. At that time Pryce was not half the fighter he is today and had serious issues outside the ring. The win may look good on Ajose record but is by no means a yard stick to judge his career.
But anyway?? :huh I understand the point you are making but the win over Pryce remains one of Ajose's biggest regardless of the circumstances.
Yep it does still remain one of Ajose's biggest wins which really says alot about Ajose career so far.
I've always respected your opinion as a poster. When you do know what you meant I'd appreciate an explanation thanks.
In your Wright vs Olusegun thread I recall you saying "Ajose has had two good wins". Out of interest, which ones were they in your estimation?
The only thing you can be sure on is that Ajose is no match for Witter as of yet and probably never. Shows how stale Witter's career has been he is linked to Ajose rather than the upper echelon of names he deserves.
For me Ajose's two best wins were Martin Holgate who was pretty decent when Ajose met him having a decent record of 10-2 and the stand out victory over Ali Nuumbembe which was very good. Obviously having Bradley Pryce on his record looks good but at that moment in time Pryce was not too good and had several issue's out side the ring, he had lost four of his last seven. Since those fights Olesugen has plodded along with fights against pretty poor oposition such as Spitko, the Wright fight being a different matter and full credit for both men for taking the fight. Although Ajose was not great in that fight he was still far superior to Wright. When I said the "stupid and fool" remark I meant that it would be stupid and foolish to consider the win against Pryce to be an indicator of true class. Pryce admittedly had only been losing to decent opponents like Neil Sinclair, Ted Bami, Thomas McDonagh and Farai Musiyiwa. The fight was also made at Welter Weight which although is not Ajose ideal weight it is not Bradley's either. I really worded it wrong and apologise to anyone who could have taken it the wrong way. I am one of Ajose biggest critics but only because he his very good and seems to take one step forward and two steps back. Maybe it is time to relocate to the states or try his hand in Europe. I can not see much point in chasing Lynes of fighting any of the other Light Welters that Britain has to offer. Ranked 6 by the WBC means he should be trying to mix it with a higher calibur of opponent than Spitko.
Have to confess I know little about Holgate - if the records are accurate I see his 2 losses had come in his previous 4 before fighting Ajose back in 2002. Appears this fight was the last of his pro career consisting of 14 bouts. To be fair you have mentioned him before - Even taking everything into consideration Ajose's two best wins are Pryce and Nuumbembe for me - but I respect others opinion may differ. Lets just leave it at that.
someone like lovemore n'dou would be a good fight for ajose. perhaps after he gets outboxed by paulie it could be made. try and push for the witter-bradley winner as well of course. ajose could get lucky on that one. i think olusegun is world class. just not top drawer like a ricky hatton. :bbb
Only one person is going to get raped d baby and that is the lad from Sheffield. I am not ******ed unlike you since you need to resort to abusive language. I have no issue with you supporting Witter Hell I hope most people do and that he is the betting favourite so I can clean up at the bookies again. Wright, Nuumbembee, Pryce, Kpadenue, Tony Montana, Adewale Adegbusi, Khodokovski are all bums are they. It is idiots like you who deserve to made to get inside the ring with atop fighter so that you understand what it takes. Fighters are not bums and it takes a man to step in the ring.
This is the uninformed crap undiscerning people make. Herman Ngoudo is great lad and a personal friend of Ajose way back from the African amateur scene and went to the same all African games where Ajose won the gold medal and the sydney olympics. Ajose is much better than Malignaggi and Herman.
dwilson finally the truth is out you think Ajose is really good. I agree 100% and your words show that you are both a critic and a fan. If you are frustrated imagine how frustrated Ajose and I have been. When we look back the win against Pryce has harmed us because quite frankly we are not able to get fights against the so called better guys. We only had a weeks notice for the Pryce fight. People are scheduled to fight us when they realise who they are up against they decide to pull out. It really is frustrating when you know that you can beat anyone at 140 maybe even 147. The stories I can tell yoi won't believe and think I am making it up. Ajose won the African 140 title by beating a Light Middleweight. I mean can you believe that. Bradley, Hopkins you name them we are ready. We know we have to do an Azumah Nelson as it will not come to us easy though of course none of the 140 champions including Hatton is in the class of the legends Salvador Sanchez and Wilfredo Gomez.
Personally for me the Kpadenue fight as well as Holgate were the most impressive. Nuumbembee and Pryce are names yes. Against Holgate he was a novice pro going in against a more experienced pro. He got clocked but refused to cave in and retired Holgate. That is what is called championship heart.
