Say Khan beats Garcia and vacates to Welterweight.

Ajose vs Matthyse for the vacant WBC title, what happens who wins?

You are spot on Phil. Ajose will win though to be fair Matthyse is not bad though. It will be a tougher fight than Garcia in my opinion.

We don't know Ajose's level. We know Matthysse is true world class, at least top 5 in the division.

It would be ludicrous to suggest that Olusegun is the favourite.

    Its comes down to this:

    Ajose can't KO Matthysse, but;
    Matthysse can KO Ajose

    Based on what?

    Because he hits harder?

Anyone can be stopped in boxing, I think Olegusun is the better boxer of the two, and he's not a simple come forward guy that you can easily get out of there.

He's been constantly avoided by the top tier of the division, MORE SO than "feared" bangers like Matthyse and Maidana, when something like this happens there is usually a reason for it.

Don't get me wrong i'm not saying he's the best in the division, but I would comfortably pick him over a guy like Matthyse

You'd seriously pick Ajose over Matthysse?

I'd favour Soto over Olusegun, even after last weekend.

Ajose just hasn't fought at close to world level, he doesn't really KO people at his British/Commonwealth level so to suggest he'd do what multi-belt titlists Judah, Alexander and Soto couldn't is wishful thinking. Matthysse has KO'd better boxers and fighters than Ajose.

Matthysse shouldn't be tarred with the Maidana brush. Matthysse puts down or hurts everyone he fights unlike Maidana.

I credit him for The Alexander performance, but Judah? well we saw what he had left when he he came out looking like a poor mans poor Mcloskey against Khan, and as for Soto, he really shouldnt be at the weight, he's a good fighter but he is too frail to be at 140,

When you are a blown up featherweight with limited defence, you are always going to get ruined by a big, power punching true light welter like matthtyse

you cant compare him to Olesegun who is a ****ing bull, this dude is a ****ing african bull son, dont sleep on him

We diont know Ajose's level in the world stakes, mainly because of how he has been shockingly frozen out the picture.

and Ajose would have no problems with Soto. Soto doesn't belong at 140lb

Matthysse to win, He'd turn it into a dog fight and that's what he likes. He's mixed with 3 world class fighters and for many beaten all 3. He's proven so it's hard to pick Ajose here. For me to pick him it would be just guessing..

When Ajose gets the opportunity I believe he will make a definitive statement. I am obviously viewed as biased and perhaps correctly so but I believe he is the best at 140 pounds.
