So if Wilder Fury rematch who else should he fight? Or should he remain inactive until they are finished?
Hes in this position cause he ducked Wilder Now.he.wanna call out Wilder when he knows Deontay got a rematch coming up
Yeah I'm sure he'll get loads of credit for beating an old on heart medication Ortiz previously KO'd by Wilder. GTFOH with the Ortiz hype. He's nowhere near the bogeyman people on here want him to be.
At least? How would this affect the alphabet mandatory situation? And why is he not ranked higher? He has had two fights since loosing to DW.
Ducked Wilder ...... Wilder would have been paid more than he got for Fury with eddies 15 mil offer and Joshua ducked? Come on fella take the rose tinted specs off. Plus you have avoided my question who should he fight? Ortiz is old and barely medically cleared to fight, he already beat Pov and Brezeale and Whyte. That leaves Miller and Pulev realistically, Whyte and him have bad blood and a rematch would be entertaining but result would be the same I agree I really dont want to see it again.
I don't have any problem with AJ's trajectory to this point. He has been moved along aggressively throughout his career, fighting top fighters. And, by not fighting Wilder and Fury, they fought each other and made for a much more compelling HW division. Meanwhile, he fought Povetkin while that fight was being made, who was the clear number 4 of the division. So, I think the criticism he gets for "avoiding" Wilder and or Fury to this point is misplaced. However, if this happens, he deserves some legit criticism. I mean, to be fair, Whyte and Miller and clear top 10, fringe top 5 HW's. So, we should be thankful that we are in an era where this would deserve criticism. But, when there are 2 and probably 3 (Usyk, if he moves up) HW's that are much more deserving, then he would deserve flack if he only faced Whyte and Miller next year.
If a deal cannot be done for a unification then every Joshua fight will be a mandatory. So it's more likely to be whyte then pulev. This is what happens when you have 3 titles and only fight twice a year. That wouldn't be a very satisfying 2019 but they would be the 2 biggest heavyweight fights of 2019. Fury - Wilder was good and the rematch will probably do better but people who think it will do 3-4 times better are misguided.
He's probably still more credible/interesting for AJ than Chisora (who has lost 8 times) and Whyte (who AJ already KO'd).
