You mean he's like a race horse that's been unknowingly enhanced with hormones? Happily munching the hay while being medicated by a mischievous vet. Maybe he is dumb I suppose. "Take this go faster sweetie, Tone."
It's a problem that is in involved in all professional sports, The shit we saw with Sepp Blatter & FIFA, the IOC and their corrupt bidding process etc. The recent Russian Athletic Drug Scandal wherein the independent body which was put in place to catch the drug cheats was the same body which covered up doping tests. I remember 25 years ago it was cynicism if you suggested the Tour De France was corrupt, 10 years ago it was skepticism "Not everyone is on drugs." but now it's realism.
Steroids wont make you a better boxer. Steroids wont make me become Olympic champion. They are overblown. Josh isnt on them anyway. Good physique but nothing special. Only fat people or those with no muscle will claim steroids
Most of the keys on your keyboard don't seem to be working. The 'H' and the 'G' appear fine, though....
What the Erkan Teper case shows us, is you can't just look at a boxer's physique and judge them to be a steroid abuser. Teper was very fleshy against Price but he failed a drugs test. So if we extend that logic and accept a fleshy-looking fighter can be a doper, then it is possible a ripped boxer can be clean. Basically, none of us know for certain. As for AJ's dad mentioning steroids, if he were aware of his son cheating he'd hardly blurt it out at the first opportunity, would he? I suspect Joshua's camp are aware of the chatter within the boxing community on boxing forums like this one; I mean you can't avoid it on here. Right that's that dealt with... Marv-elous. Hgh (Hopeless, Gormless, Humorous)... next
What next? Going to accuse him of insulin next? You're probably the guy at the gym who claims gear for anyone who is bigger then them...
One of the issues with steroid-fulled athletes is the residual effect. In other words, the effort needed to maintain muscle mass is not the same as the effort needed to build it. So it would be possible to enter a steroid-based training program and then effectively maintain most of the benefits of that while being drug-free. It's not a pure science but is a bone of contention in the world of sprinting where the strength advantage gained though PEDs is thought to last years after an athlete has become 'clean'. Justin Gatlin being a prime example. One of the big question marks hanging over Josuha is the year off he took between the 2012 Olympics and the start of his pro career. In that period he wasn't under the jurisdiction of either amateur or professional boxing authorities and hence not subject to any testing.
