Much worse. McCracken is a very good coach. Even a fan with the slightest boxing knowlege (such as myself) know that when throwing an uppercut the last thing a fighter should be looking to do is extend the distance between them and their opponent. You want to get close.
I agree he was well beaten by the far better man. I was responding to a message asking me to elaborate on my opinion that he didn’t look good on the ring walk. I’m not making excuses for him. He was dire. Less than 1 hour before ring walk for a big fight is far from optimal. If he chose to do that it was a mistake.
He has to have chose it. On these shows your given a time to be picked up by the promoter and your at venue well in advance, obviously AJ calls the shots so has done his own thing. I'd not be comfortable that short a turn around as if one of Dubois team objects to wraps, makes a fuss etc you've not much wiggle room.
I don’t know you mate so I didn’t know you thought the earth was flat …. I don’t want to talk about geography.. my point was just that I thought he looked Stiff and unsteady on the way to the ring ie his body language…it was mentioned by more than myself within my group of mates …. Then when the fight started some of us weren’t surprised at how he seemed a bit slow stiff and chin up from the beginning of the fight then the video I posted just shows why we thought this …. Doesn’t mean we are correct just a thought from an observation …. If you don’t understand mate it’s fine don’t worry about it
Froch’s nose is like that because he was an absolute warrior who would fight all day and certainly wouldn’t quit like Joshua did against Ruiz.
Froch ducked nobody either and had some great wins away from home. Ward had his number but he was a great watch throughout his career.
Fairness to Ben Davidson, Dubios really did get all his weight onto his jab, you can't throw a good right off it that way, I'd have as a certified know nothing got AJ to keep him reaching with it, keep the left low, maybe bring it back slowly and try to lure the right hand to counter, If it did touch down it wouldn't have it's full force, But I don't know if AJ knows how to counter right hands with his shoulder or to get over his left leg and punch with DDD right for right... I haven't watched much of the fella.
There’s definitely something not right with him mentally 100 percent. He looks nervous walking to the ring, he was acting weird when he was going to take his robe thing off then decided to keep it on. When he is getting an 8 count he just seems really arrogant as well. Talking to the crowd, trance like in between rounds. Taking selfies with fans after getting battered. If he’s in with a live dog who’s going to be on the front foot like Dubois I don’t think he fancies it at all.
When Dubois put his weight onto his front foot the way he did when he was leaning into his jab, reaching, try it out, lean onto your lead and throw your right hand you’ll feel it kill your straight.
Thats a plausible theory but the actual reality is Dubois was killing Joshua with his right hands. There wasn't anything weak about any of those right hands.
It isn’t a theory, it’s down to shifting your weight, it’s why Frazier didn’t have a good right hand after his hook. it wasn’t every jab Dubois threw, I said he could make Dubois reach and take advantage of his leaning habit, putting the weight on his lead foot and not worry so much about the right, DDD could throw a good right after a jab but it depends if he is in a position to or what’s happening with his weight. He did hit AJ with good rights I agree though, but when he hit him hard he was properly set to at the feet.
No don't be arrogant it is a theory and if your theory postulates that Joshua doesn't need to worry about Daniel Dubois's right hand there's something really wrong with that theory. Thats the kind of 5D chess coaching advice I would expect from Ben Davison. I feel there must something you're overlooking or not acknowledging because the claim that Dubois doesn't throw a good right hand just doesn't square with reality. It is a good right hand even if its not perfect to you and your theory.
