AJ's resume till now better than of the Greats of the Past when they had around 20 fights?

    Joshua fought some durable journeymen. First man ever to knock out Johnson. Good wins against unbeaten prospects Cornish, Whyte, Breazale. Martin was HW champ. There is no way Joshua loses against Wladimir. Let's assume he beats an ATG at fight #19.

    - Mike Tyson had his first HW title fight against aging Berbick, at fight #28. But he fought all these journeymen within two years. How tough were they? Any former champions or durable fighters?

    - Holyfield started at cruiser, so it's not easy to compare. He was already experienced when he moved up.

    - Foreman had 27 fights against terrible opponents untill he fought for the vacant title.#23 was Lou Bailey who had twice as many losses as wins.

    - It took Ali 28 fights to fight for the title. He has beaten some good fighters before though. Liston, Patterson and many veterans but no champ, no unbeaten fighter except Billy Daniels. These were also different times though, athletes just get better.

    - It took Bowe 32 fights untill he beat unbeaten Holyfield and became champ after a UD.

    - Wladimir needed 17 fights to become the champ for a vacant title but his opposition was terrible untill he met Puritty. After that at fight #30, Schulz was his first good opponent.

    - Vitali needed 19 fights to become the champ, for a vacant title against a mediocore boxer who was beaten before. After that he had some better names though.

    - One of the best HW's Lennox Lewis needed 23 fights till he met his first real opponent, Tony Tucker whom he knocked out and became the champ.

    Joshua has only 18 fights, 18 wins by knockout. Won agaisnt hungry, unbeaten boxers. Veterans no one knocked out before and now at fight 19 he will most likely beat a living legend.

    Leon Spinks won his world title in his 8th fight against a guy who was pretty good.

    Joshua is doing well and beating wlad in his 19th fight is a real achievement if it happens, but other HW prospects fought good unbeaten comp. As another poster noted Fury beat Chisora and L Lewis who you mentioned in his 15th fight beat 35-0 G Mason

    Mason had a detatched retina...Lewis in his 18th fight fought a shot Tyrell Biggs and in his 19th fight fought Levi Billups who was undersized small journeyman on his way out and couldn't knock him out just bc the guy had experiance which made him switch trainers. Thers literally no comparison to defeating Wlad in 19 fights to Chisora at any year and Chisora was himself in 15 fights when he lost to Fury.

    Joshua is ahead of everyone resume wise in under 20 fights .

    Martin was a complete bum. The Glazkov win should not be credited to him at all, no punch even semi caused the injury. Cornish was a complete bum who should stick to his day job. Johnson was a shell who should never fight again. An injured Whyte who couldn't wobble Lewison or Dave Allen when fully fit had Joshua on ***** street. C class Molina just froze and did a Mike Spinks impersonation. Joshua' s best win is probably Breazeale, an out of shape doorman who went toe to toe for six rounds. Joshuas resume doesn't bear scrutiny.

    He has got a resume to match anyones or better id say.no matter who he fights,he wont get credit from a lot.
    People like to say how great fighters of the past are and discredit the likes of aj as he makes it look easy.but the same could be said about the fighters of the past when they were doing the same probably.
    Joshua is someone the hw scene has been crying out for for over a decade,he'll prob get his props 20 years after he retires if he fulfills his potential

    Ali won the title in his 20th fight at age 22 beating Sonny Liston for the undisputed linear title.
    I would suggest that is an infinitely greater achievment than beating someone who goes by the name of Charles Martin for a paper title at age 26.

    Joshuas last few fights has been against decent opposition and I shouldn't hold much against him.
