What do ya'll think of these new interviewers/presenters in boxing and DAZN, Ak and Barak? I guess they taking over from the likes of Jim Lampley and Roy Jones now that HBO is no more. Ak sounds like B-hop lol
They try way too hard. I mute the television whenever I’m forced to watch something with them during a DAZN broadcast. They’re the worst interviewers I’ve ever seen
DAZN has some of the worst presenters around on their shows. What about that short woman and the tall guy? They're terrible too. Seriously, I grew up in a day when you had real knowledgeable commentators - guys like Gil Clancy, Al Bernstein, people like that. Today, it seems like they drag these clowns off the street and hand them a microphone.
Bloody hell. Is that a boxing show? It looks more like that garbage - Say Yes to the Dress. Everything is about image, i mean cmon, this is boxing. They punch each other in the face, can we not do this please
It would appear that DAZN is trying to appeal to the casuals. Speaking to a crowd that wouldn't even know who the hell Gil Clancey was. What's the point of talking about the history or liniage of the sport to a group of people that don't know or care. Don't even try to explain the technical aspects of the sport to these people. This is what real boxing fans must deal with in order to have boxing more excessable. I cry on the inside a little!
This. Emphasis on trying wayyyyy to hard. That **** with trying on jackets or whatever the **** they were doing last night was the usual cringe worthy to the real adults in the room.
They have excellent questions. The shorter guy knows his stuff the other guy more tags along to the tempo of what he does. You know they follow the sport and box themselves when they receive negative view points...lol Best thing these guys did was convince Whyte to dig in his pocket and reveal Wilders incentive to duck him..with the email message to prove it was real .lol DAZN knew what they were doing by getting a free flowing younger approach with interviews that accomodate the fighter and viewers at the same time and much better interaction with the fighters being physical contact ( The AJ bear hug on Ak or Barrack ? ) These guys blend knowledge and humor and don't ask easy questions at the fighters ...I guess some people will just complain bc that's what boxing fans do!.
This is highly oblivious comment. First off those two aren't the commentators to the ringside action. They are the cards presentations and Chris Mannix gets everyone sped up to date with quick accurate detail of whats going on not just on the card but what's developing outside that may make fans want to see the fighters he brings up. Brian Kenney is every bit as good as Clancy and maybe a step below Bernstein but let's not act like the commentators are terrible. i really don't think you know what you're talking about here, for starters you should know Chris Mannix ( Not the tall guy ) a highly intelligent boxing insider and Kenney who is a top.level announcer and former ESPN boxing classics narrator who calls the action and does it very well .
I had to mute the broadcast numerous times yesterday. That angry tall dude and the woman with the strangely red middle of her face were the absolute worst presenters in boxing history. They made Rocsi Diaz from Golden Boy Fight Night on Facebook seem like Harold Lederman. Oscar needs to stop handing out jobs when he’s high on coke and palling around with dumb**** Hollywood types. Why would you let Gina Rodriguez anywhere near a boxing broadcasting booth? Yesterday was pretty embarrassing honestly from bottom to top
Brian Kenny is a company man who wouldn’t present a genuine opinion if you held a gun to his head. Sergio can hardly speak a complete sentence without ****ing up, and they awkwardly just ask Sugar Ray about his career any chance they get. It was legitimately terrible during the Farmer fight when they brought AJ in, and didn’t talk about the fight going on in the ring at all. They just talked about Anthony’s career and bull****. And I say this as a fan of DAZN as a whole, but they definitely aren’t perfect like you’re making them out to be. The best part has been the availability so far, but the presentation has been horrific for the most part
Each to his own but I guarantee anyone claiming Kenney is not informative and is just a company man when keep in mind he was announcing Wilder fights while still claiming AJ was the man to beat doesn't know much or has an agenda . Was he a company man then ? See you expose yourselves when you bring up company men bc it has nothing to do with the announcing. Guarantee I know more then you do and I know Kenny is very knowledgeable. They talk about Joshua career bc he was on the air ,sorry but trolling me will never work here.
