Saying Akeem's style is bowling shoe ugly is an insult to bowling shoes, he's awkwardly controlling range very ell, constantly moving with a herky jerky stance, daring in and out with wild uncoordinated looping right hooks, and off kilter straight lefts. Maxwell can't pin him down.

More jabbing and awkward lefts from Akeem, Sam lands one right, even that was partially deflected. The rest of the round nothing but spoiling, wrestling, roughhousing and more spoiling. I hate this.

Akeem standing in an awkward, almost ass out position, putting his chin out there baiting Sam in, he's awkwardly lunging in, nailing him with lefts. Both missing a lot though. Back to grabbing and holding from Akeem. But he's clubbing him with forearms before they get in hold. Sam lands a one two, then Akeem fires back, lands about three one twos in a row. Sam seemed rocked... for Christ sake.

 

It's a classic Jim Rossism.

Akeem grabs, holds, works him over with short hooks to the body. Flurry while in hold. Sam gets in a right. Akeem like a whirling dervish, holding, spinning, flurrying, holding some more, clubbing, forearming, dancing, shouldering, humping. Sam doesn't know what end is up. Sam lands a right, Akeem with a hard jab and 2 one twos. Akeem leaping forward with a wild jab, misses it and almost falls down.
