Never thought MJ was any threat to Inoue and I was right so much talk and he went in there just to survive and was dog walked for 12 rounds. Just goes to show how ridiculous the claims of Inoue ducking him were specially when you consider that the first two fights of Inoue at super Bantam were against the consensus two top guys of the division with one of them being the one that took the titles from MJ.

    Amazing...

Scoring in boxing truly is subjective.

    Could've had it 8-4

Inoue clearly won but not nearly as wide as others made it out

Inoue has declined in recent fights

He didn't commit, because even an Inoue on cruise control, pulling his punches, trying to show off his boxing skills, hits hard enough to scare him shitless.:sisi1

Many duck punchers or try to keep sharing a ring with them down to a minimum

Many fighter's handlers steer their fighter's path to the top by going around landmines (punchers) rather than over them

Many fighter's handlers keep their fighters away from punchers after they suffer a stoppage loss or demonstrate non-Brit Level mandibular fortitude

Some fighters get in there with punchers and as soon as they taste that power they lose all their bottle and try to navigate their way to the final bell without taking too many big ones instead of trying to win

It's something we see when decent contenders step up to a truly elite P4P level. I imagine being in the ring with Inoue is a lot different from watching the tape and trying to devise a strategy to beat him. The same thing happened with Fulton; all we heard in the build-up was about the American slickness, and Fulton ended up getting outboxed and getting his head jabbed off before nearly getting his head taken clean off his shoulders in a mismatch. After the fight, he talked about how he wanted Inoue to engage and some BS about his gameplan being off.

This is usually what happens. Fighters get in there and realise after a round or two just what they're up against. Inoue, Usyk and Crawford are three fighters that I imagine sparring partners can't replicate, so when it comes to showtime, decent fighters like MJ truly realise what it means to be in there with a generational talent. I had him losing every single round, he had zero answers.

People are mocking MJ for ''making excuses'' for his loss by claiming he didn't have enough time to warm up but did I not tell you all that the yakuza would do their best to unsettle him and do whatever it takes to ensure Inoue got the W?

Inoue could have stopped him but also didn’t want to completely commit. Think the recent knockdowns made him wary. Unfortunate because it was boring watching him cruise.

Even being generous to MJ... 120-108 Inoue.

I try to keep a level head but the Uzbek fans were really getting on my nerves with just how much they trashed Inoue saying he was ducking.

Akhmadaliev has always been a sneaky counter puncher type fighter which has always made him dangerous. He and his team simply were not prepared for Inoue's tactics. They probably expected the usual Inoue who looks to take you out from the opening bell but Inoue's team came up with the perfect strategy to take away Akhmadaliev's best weapon. Get off first and then not be there to be countered. Akhmadaliev's team were constantly going on about Uzbek power and so Inoue took that away by boxing.

He did try to put more pressure on in the later rounds but was eating big counters in response which kept him contained and unable to gain any momentum in the fight. But in general he didn't do enough, but it's hard to override your normal style, he isn't a pressure or swarmer type fighter and few fighters have the versatility to switch styles, especially mid fight, you can't just switch off your natural reactions which have been ingrained through years of drills in training.

I didn't give Akhmdaliev a single round, he had moments but never did enough in any single round to win the round for me. Inoue always just came back harder to whatever success Akhmadaliev had. Inoue fought a very disciplined fight. It wasn't the most thrilling performance of Inoue's career but it was one where he rarely made any mistakes and one that will be very hard to beat.
