    This is true.

As for opposition faced, he still technically only has 5 wins over future or former world champs.

Niida - great win to capture 105 belt
Takayama - good win over long time 105 mainstay and future titlist
Estrada - good win at 108 over future 112 unified titlist
Rodriguez - good win at 112 over future 105 unified titlist
Yaegashi - great win to capture 112 lineal title

That big 5 is a legit big 5 wins, though, regardless of Estrada and Rodriguez being far from where they became highly acclaimed. The rest of his resume is compiled with some of the most recognizable journeyman of the last decade in those weight ranges.

You mean when he fought Sabillo and got robbed abroad? :huh

    What exactly did that prove?

...and no, he isn't on Gonzalez's level yet, but he seems to be well on his way to being almost on his level (which is what I said)

Ah okay, but when you lump in top-5 ranked guys my "over a dozen" is probably on the mark.

Wasn't able to see this live so I gotta wait until someone posts the full fight on youtube. Looking forward to it though, even though I consider myself knowledgeable on boxing I know next to nothing about the very lowest divisions but from the sounds of it, this Gonzalez is someone I should be watching

    Honestly favor the little guy.

Rigondeaux isn't going to bully Gonzalez, and Gonzalez's brand of pressuring offense is unlike any we have seen Rigondeaux neutralize - based not on brawn or size but on technical precision, sharply and manly (and correctly) thrown shots in well-thought-out combinatios, and the stamina to keep up the output.

    H2H at 122?

Couldn't possibly pick against Roman there, myself.

However, if we're talking mere "P4P skills and style match up," then yes, I may agree with you.

But no way Roman is going to excessively hurt, drop, or stop Rigo at 122.
