    Round 1

Yaegashi is circling and popping straight flurries into the challenger's forehead. Gonzalez covers up and stalks, looking for openings to head and body, poking in with straight right leads when he thinks he sees one. Yaegashi is carefully holding back, taking sweeping lateral double and triple steps in a light gait, cutting hemispherical grooves around Gonzalez and countering his body flicks with hammering counter rights. Gonzalez begins to up his attack, very precise needle-like jabs and rights to various parts of Yaegashi's torso with a few brought up higher.

    10-9 Yaegashi

Yaegashi looked sharp but Gonzalez' bodyshots in the final part of the round seemed to bother him a bit

    Round 2

Yaegashi is moving back to the ropes as Gonzalez is launching 1-2s, reforming his guard, and dipping forward under Yaegashi's counters as quick as they come. Furious pace set early here. Yaegashi maneuvers off the ropes and starts landing counter gavel rights. Gonzalez never stops pumping the 1-2 and swirling his upper body in, forward-thrust and low, weaving after throwing each time. BIG left hook and chopping right combo by Gonzalez pushing the champion up against the ropes. Hooks on the body and hard right crosses on the chin by Gonzalez. Yaegashi leaps past him and lands a pendulum left on the body in midair, eliciting cheers. Double jab up top, double right on the hip by Gonzalez. Hard, stiff punches by Gonzalez, each straight as an arrow. Yaegashi jabs up into Gonzalez's gloves and tries sneaking an uppercut into his chest beneath his arms. Continued 1-2 aggression from Gonzalez, pressing in.

    10-9 Gonzalez

    19-19

Rachman won the WBA belt in his very next fight by stopping the then unbeaten Kwanthai. I'll admit he was shot but still a moderately decent win
