Dude , Floyd is like a super slick, untouchable defense wizard from mars , he'll like easily outbox pacquiao bc he's .. floyd money mayweather an stuff.

 

i agree with you ,but his adaptivity is still overstated. Speed does have a lot to do with it. When your significantly faster and more athletic then almost everyone you've fought, it makes things a lot easier on yourself. Most of the guys Floyd faced couldn't adapt to his style, that's the difference.

Adaptation comes into play when your in an unfamiliar situation or taken out of your comfort zone. We've only seen that happen with Floyd a few times, and he was made to look ordinary.

Shane isnt undefeated bc he fought some really good fighters , guys that Floyd would have lost to as well.

 

Very true. Marquez had him down to 600 punches in both fights.

 

Floyd's defensive wizardry is not limited to standing in the pocket rolling. That works well against right handed guys but against Pacquiao I imagine he'd just move out of range making Pac overextend with his left and then stepping back to counter like Marquez did. I said this yesterday. Pac 2.0 looks immense against bigger guys coming straight at him into his power and speed. Mayweather will not do that. That said the angles Pacquiao throws at and his own foot-speed could prove problematic, as could his power when he lands. If he can corner Floyd then it could get interesting. This why the fight needs to happen. How silly it hasn't yet.

 

This is what I feel may well happen. The guys before have come to him and eaten shots. What if a guy doesn't like Mayweather won't and causes him to lunge and be off balance and then countered?
