    Wack, to be honest.

You can't just glide over real comp available at this stage before you've even fully sprouted your wings. Pretty dissapointing.

Bad for legacy and a bigger risk than anyone he can fight at 135......would make a lot more sense to fight vazquez/burns winner in summer and then move to 140..... There are better fights at 140, hopefully Rios is next.

He wants to be Floyd without having to pay his dues in the same way, that's the 'problem' .

Really? I like Malignaggi but he doesn't have the style to beat Mayweather. Malignaggi is a solid b/fringe a-class fighter and was outboxed by Khan who isn't that great of technician. Maybe if Malignaggi packed a bit more power behind his punches it could have been interesting when he landed but without that it'd end up as a convincing outboxed UD loss like Mayweather-Judah.

However, the pre-fight trash talk would be a tremendous spectacle to watch.

Broner-Malignaggi is a bit more interesting. Broner is still learning, and even though I'm going back a few years, he showed some problems dealing with quick technical boxers like Willie Kickett. I like Malignaggi at WW, so it would be intriguing if Broner makes the jump up.

I don't understand this talk of him going up to 147 to 'duck' everyone at 140.

Was he going to fight Garcia, Peterson, Matthyse, or Rios in his very next fight? No.

Some of you seem to be under the impression if you move up to 147, you can't come right back down to 140 afterwards. :huh

At this point of his career, Malignaggi is a very good test for him. There's no doubt he'll be the most quality opponent he's fought so far. This is the intelligent way to progress a career, especially when you're that young.

Those superfights at 140 will happen over the next few years.

Why boxing sucks these days. There isn't enough top level talent to operate like two independent sports leagues. Not even close.

This fight represents everything that's wrong with boxing. Skip the most competitive weight class to fight a past-prime featherfisted Malignaggi. I like Broner but sorry - FAIL.

The Rios fight will never happen. Rios is with TR and Broner is with GBP. I don't know why people are even talking about it? Burns doesn't want to fight Broner and all the GBP fighters at 140 are tied up.

To be FAIR to Adrien, most of those guys are tied up. Hell all of them are actually.

So as long as he moves down or gives one of those guys a shot at the 147 lb title next it should be ok.

As soon as those dudes move up to 147lbs, Broner would then move back to 140lbs
