Not only would Juan be getting more money, but he would cement his legacy as an ATG had he fought and beaten Pacquiao, which he did. Tell me this, would wins over Bradley and Khan do more for Juan's legacy than a win over Pacquiao???
It's only because you and other put so much weight on that fight on happening. You should've known it wasn't going to happen and moved on. How many Top Rank and GBP fighters have fought? Floyd and Arum have NO working relationship. How exactly was this fight supposed to happen?
No, his win over Pacquiao in the 3rd fight already got him the accolades. KTFO6 was just the icing on the cake. He could've fought Khan, Bradley AND Pacquiao, but he didn't. Just admit your double standard makes no sense.
Look who he was fighting at 135 and 140 before the Pac fights..Diaz rematch..Fedchenko? Ramos.... All while turning down bigger and better fights wanting to fight Pacquiao.
It would look much better of course, but he went straight for Pacquiao instead, just like Bradley avoided Khan and went straight to Pacquiao.
It is a double standard. Wonder if he'll admit it? How is Floyd sitting on the sidelines when he came out and beat the #1 WW Mosley when people said he wouldn't? :-( then defending marquez in the same breath against guys like Ramos, Fedchenko, Diaz again, etc. Makes no sense. Can't have your cake and eat it. Just saying.
True, and they both paid the price. Bradley being on the shelf for over a year and Marguez turning down more intriguing fights with his eyes on the cash cow. There's always a price.
Diaz rematch was pointless, but in all fairness he was coming off a loss against Mayweather, 2 weight divisions north, a soft touch after that is perfectly fine. Fedchenko and Ramos were both stay busy fights, pretty much how i see Floyd doing with Guerrero. Thing is, Juan DID fight Pacquiao after those fights, which no matter what, is still a dangerous fight. Who will Floyd fight after Guerrero? If its the Canelo-Trout winner, then its all good.
Fair enough. I just don't see how Floyd was avoiding the 147 lb division when he fought the champion there almost right oout of his retirement. And when people were saying he wouldn't.
Floyd retiring after the Hatton fight didn't look good to me, thats what i mostly was referring to with my comment earlier. Do you at least agree with that? But yeah i know, Arum, ect, ect...
Weird fight to make. Paulie seems to be the designated soft touch to inaugurate anyone GBP wants to hype.
