My question to you is. when was the last time that you saw world class boxing of this magnitude on free television? Al Hayon haters a dumbassese who hates him because of his affiliation with Floyd Mayweather. You guys should go choke on a ****, Al is here to stay.
What evidence do you have to support this claim that Haymon is trying to create a UFC like boxing league? Take a look at the purse the fighters on the card are making tonight, I you wonder why every ranked professional fighter in the game today is running to him.
He is trying to make a league but honestly the purse for this first PBC is more than UFC has paid their fighters in the last 3 PPV... Jon Jones made 500,000 on his PPV and he is their #1 p4p.... the salaries on this PBC for Abner Mares is just about that..... So yeah, I think we need to stop the complaining and just enjoy the boxing.
I will say, the PBC arena is awesome... but the corny music, makes it feel like the contender, and takes away from their personality.... should be a good fight!
You obviously don't have a brain. It's a common business practice to offer incentives to get people you need on board. Then once you control the market and have a monopoly you can do whatever you want. This bait and switch tactic has been used so many times it's unreal. And yet here you are, thinking Al Haymon does this because he likes these fighters/boxing LOL. All Haymon cares about is $$$$.
Currently, I feel like this was Haymon's master plan coming to fruition - which was great - good fights (at least on paper) on primetime TV, and another strong card coming soon after. The awful matchmaking and mollycoddling of months gone by seem like they were done to create champions and keep them as titlists by making dull mismatches, so that by the time this TV show launched his priority guys were all legitimate guys with belts to back that up. So now we are seeing good fights. If it stays that way, then I am happy. And I have to admit I was majorly suspicious of Haymon over the last couple of years - kjeeping guys inactive and matching them soft. Seems like it was all part of a plan which may end up rewarding for the fans in the long run.
You just said you wish Pbs fail. How am I supposed to take you opinion seriously with that kind of mindset. Haymon is making boxing accessible to the fans for the first time in decades and you wish it fails. A venture that could possibly bring back boxing to the mainstream and you hope it fails. Just think about that for a second. You're an ignorant Thwart, so don't bother replying.
