everyoe can complain about showtime....i honestly dont think show or espinoza are sweating **** right now....

ya the 500k viewers isnt great.....its a saturday night in the summer....guerrero vs someone nobody really knew....most intriguging match was russell/loma.......remember showtime has a 30 percent less subscription rate than hbo....so when the numbers for them arent as good as hbo its not as bad as it looks....and when their numbers are as good/better than hbos its really good for them....

this garcia fight coming up looks really bad.....but so did the guerrero fight...so did lucas/molina.....danny/herrera wasnt blowing anyone out of the water...it was entertaining.....as was stevenson/fonfara

espinoza said he tried and it couldnt be made now and he will push for it going forward again

maybe there are some budget concerns there? i dunno....i mean...i can imagine that both danny and peterson would want way more money in august to fight each other than they do to fight their scheduled guys....so maybe showtime is looking to be cheap in august....

Yeah but the f10m05 are happy though.....they are true altruists! It doesn't matter if they are deprived of good fights, as long as Haymon is "controlling" boxing and his fighters are getting paid great amounts of money.

You see, these f10m05 have made and extraordinary evolution over these past years! They went from being thugs, to being business men; from dope slangers, to tax attorneys; from robbers, to CPA's, and their latest transition from ghetto though guys, to being exceptionally caring human beings that will sacrifice their own desires for the gain of their brothers whom are complete strangers.

This amazing group of individuals should truly be commended for their remarkable transformation!

man you dont even get it....no one is commending this garcia fight.....as a fan...i wanna see the most intriguing and best fights that can be made.....but i for one am a realist.....it doesnt always happen...and it never will...you just arent going to see every dream/fantasy match you want....youll get some good fights here and there....but it doesnt always work the way you want....yer a fan..im a fan....thats where we are....outside lookin in.....if you think you can organize a protest or a boycott and hurt ratings till you force these guys hands?....then go for it..im all for it

 

I realize not every card can be great but this is ridiculous. Sure Danny and Lamont would want more cash to fight each other but it's not an absurd an amount. Scrap the Jacobs fight and put one other cheap but good fight on and have those two go at it. The budget would be near the same but the viewership way higher.

 

The D.Garcia card is real shitty but Garcia is coming off what everyone says is a loss so a lesser oppnent is to be expected maybe not that less. This year has been a bit down but its somewhat expected guys like Alvarez, Broner, Matthysse, Marquez, Peterson ect..are coming off losses guys like GGG, Thurman, Ward and co. are being "ducked" supposedly and haven't fought anyone yet.

Look at a guy like Guerrero he just lost went through contract disputes and missed a yr he just fought a bum if he takes on say Khan next or Porter-Brook winner, Broner then it evens out....every fighter everywhere has taken a stay busy/tuneup fights between super fights or coming off a loss, injury and so on.

To me there's a differnce between Broner fighting Molina coming off a bad loss to Maidana/Guerrero fighting (can't spell his name) coming off a loss and yr of inactivity. Compared to Provodnikov fighting Algeri in his first defense of his title/Thurman being a reigning interim titlist and fighting Diaz.
