What al Haymon will do is turn all his fighters to mayweather promotions and have Schaefer build up the brand and sink all other promotion companies all Oscar has is canelo bob got a few but the clock is ticking besides Timmy and pacquiao he has no big name fighters

Top rank and GBP will do just fine on HBO. Kovalev, GGG, Lemieux, Canelo, Cotto, to name a few, are all on HBO.

What Haymon is doing may help boxing in the long run, but the big shows, the one that generate the most money (except Mayweather), are on HBO and will be for a while.

In the long run, I'm sure Haymon's model won't as good as it is for the fighters. As for now, the fighters are well paid but as soon as he got what he wants, which is boxing monopoly, it is clear as day that the purses won't be as good and that the fighters will be underpaid, just like in the UFC.

I think until someone here gets the same degree that Haymon or Arum have, we should stop pretending to be business majors.

They have been against the ropes. They still have some named fighters but Al is in the driver seat for sure. Well......that lawsuit could create a big play for Golden Boy and Top Rank should they win. I don't think it will derail the PBC train but it could divert the route for a while giving the two promoters a chance to regroup and make a power move of their own.

The hilarious thing is HBO has actually benefited from Haymon and the PBC and it has actually hurt Showtime who hasn't had any Boxing programming worth a **** in what seems like forever.

It was always Haymon's plan to lose millions of dollars and get sued for the rest, also what fight were the ref's watching?

Then we should just close the forum since where are no GGG or Mayweather either.

    Kovalev - Over 30
    GGG - Legit Star
Lemieux - over-rated average journeyman MW
Canelo - GBP's only cash cow
Cotto - 2 big fights left in him

i don't think haymon can maintain the high pays for his fighters and come up with a lot of stars to monopolize the sport.

Kovalev, Bum-love-kin and Lemieux have sold 0 PPVs between them. They are NOT big draws.

Cotto is the #3 biggest draw in boxing but he is NOT contracted to HBO and can defect whenever he gets ready. If he beats Canelo, I doubt his follow up fight will be on that network..

Actually he has Showtime against the ropes. :rofl

ShoBox is currently in the sewer right now. Not a good look for Gaymon to bite the hand that fed him; although, it was Showtime's fault for letting that clown Espinoza suck Gaymon's d!ck.

I dont think that top rank and golden boy will necessarily be successful in their lawsuit.

however, dropping 160 mil this early in the game and no real contract like ufc has with fox in sight...could be a problem.

mayweather wont retire and wil be used as a bargaining chip to get that contract for all.

this means that mayweather promotions will have to take forefront more. i dont think mayweather really wants to promote all that much. I guess he will when schaefer gets back.
