I would love for someone to provide a coherent argument for all of the Haymon hate.

Exactly WHAT did Haymon do to deserve all the hate?

Except that I am being call a racist when the only thing I said about Haymon was that is plan might be good for boxing in the long run... Which doesn't mean the biggest promoter to be in business with HBO are against the ropes...

you expected people on the internet to make sense? anything slightly percieved negative will make taken a an affront.

i think most people in the know think that haymon is doing good things, but why does hbo and gbp have to be "destroyed" in the process.

its not very nuanced thinking and well...not very intelligent either. more of a sign of mental health problems.

fact of matter is this, as long as hbo is allied with gbp/tr and are experiencing good ratings, none of those guys are "being driven" out of the business.

that doesn't mean someone is anti-haymon for saying that. being pro hbo/tr/gbp doesn't necessary mean you are anti haymon. i'm not quite sure where the polarity comes from.

Well, it was not what I was saying. I was talking about the race card...

But to answer your question and to clarify things up, I'm not a Arum, De La Hoya, Haymon (ohhh...It's true, Haymon is an advisor:lol:) or any promoter that you want fan. They are all a bunch of dishonest people who don't care about the fighter. Now, I see you coming by a mile and you'll tell me: "Haymon treats his fighters pretty well since they are well paid". For that argument, I'll say it's true...for the moment. In fact, I hate that Haymon tries to create a monopoly with boxing and this is dividing the sport. Once Haymon gets what he wants, which is to control boxing, the fighters purse won't be as interesting and they will be underpaid as in the UFC. This is the next logical step if you can read between the lines and think one step ahead. That being said...Haymon brings boxing on the cable and it's a pretty nice thing to make sure that the next stars of boxing can make a name for themselves. Other than real boxing fans, the average joe won't pay to get HBO or Showtime to watch fights.

No, not at the time. Gaymon was still in the shadows and sucking Shaefer d!ck when Showtime and GBP were doing business. It pretty much set-off the career of a lot of the GBP fighters that ended up becoming Gaymon fighters.

In fact, are you aware that Formula One Group is backing up and supporting Haymon? They have VERY deep pockets!
