So far we have Broner vs. Molina and Thurman vs. Guerrero not on Showtime.....

On Al Haymons Show in NBC....

Now we hear rumors of Garcia vs. Petterson not on Showtime but on Al Haymons Show in NBC.....

How will Showtime take this information..... They have virtually shut out all other promoters, bent over backwards for Al Haymon and now he is leaving them to pay for the mismatches while on his show he makes sure to make good fights to sell advertisements on TV.

    Bradley and Provo arent signed.

Cotto isnt signed, but has said he wants to finish career with HBO because theyve been good to him.

Manny, GGG, Canelo all have ink with HBO.

This report is kinda half right.

Threat wasnt to Espinoza though, and Espinoza never had the power to make Floyd fight. Espinoza might be given different marching orders regarding who he deals with and how he deals with them, and Moonves certainly wants to see the fight happen - but Espinoza has always done what he was supposed to do.

Instead of firing Espinoza, Moonves would likely just say "ok no more Haymon fights unless we really want it. Take half your budget and find new talent".

This combined with losing money on the Mayweather deal == a lot of people need to be fired.

    Things are getting interesting.

So basically that leaves Quebec's fighters with GYM (who haven't sign with Haymon) open to fight on Showtime.

Showtime definitley got played by Haymon last year. It looks like his guys were matched soft, on Showtime's money, only to make the real fights on his NBC series. You'd almost expect somebody to be held accountable for throwing away money on mismatches over at Showtime.

NBC is making some nice fights, so far, and that does hurt Showtime some but Showtime could/should still be fine.

First none of the fighters are exclusive to NBC so it is possible that guys like Broner and Garcia(who did nice ratings for Showtime) can still fight on Showtime.

Second, Haymon has 150 fighters and 20 NBC dates this year. Thats 40-50 fights on NBC this year. With him and HBO not working together that leaves plenty of money and spots still on Showtime for Haymon fighters to pick up. I highly doubt Showtime and Haymon are done working toghether.

Third, Haymon taking some big fighters to NBC and Mayweather's contract ending this year means he should have much less power at Showtime. Showtime should be able to work with Haymon as well as any other promoter and actually demand quality fights instead of simply showcasing Haymon's fighters.

These fights wouldn't be made on Showtime's dime. Al's return on his investment is much more dependent on strong cards with NBC. He's relying on advertisers to recoup his initial cost outlay, not a cut from an up front fight budget where he had no upfront expense.

In a sense, with the NBC deal, he's in Espinoza's shoes and needs to guard against overspending just the same.

Before everyone gets all excited, keep your powder dry until the 4th of 5th card, if they're still high quality then maybe it'll be cause for celebration, but I'm not buying it. Of course the first card will be great they're to go people to watch it, and then it'll fall apart that's how scummy businessman work.

Garcia vs peterson and broner vs molina are not 'good fights', imo.

Thurman vs Guerrero is not bad though and ill be tuning in for that.

I dont get the hype around the other two.
