    you guys heard Trout this weekend on the boxing voice? was funny as hell. He was taking shots at Oscar and saying he never had a contract with GBP.

    yeah...that was more about lamon than al though. i remember reading something on sam simons side of the story...and i thought brewster was wrong for that as well.

    I agree, I think the primary responsibility is definitely on Lamon. I don't think Al's blameless in that scenario and I don't think it's unfair to say he was tampering, however.

    I thought it was noteworthy because it's the only time I've a boxer even allude that he made the wrong move going with Haymon. I do think it was primarily about betraying Sam though, so I posted a little background to keep the comments in context.

    That's cool, never met him but he's always comes off as a cool dude and 100% genuine in his interviews.

    That's a big reason why Lamon and Tony Thompson are my two favorite U.S. heavyweights of the last 10 years.

    Now that Schafer has left GB....all of Haymon fighter that are not under contract at GB will follow and leave GB and that including Hopkins (although Hopkins will do like Schafer and remain a shareholder).
