2 million is 2-3 times what a typical Kiltschko opponent gets i take the offer Wilder it the last one you'll get that large after you get KO in 3 rounds

I'm actually surprised that quillen and wilder listen blindly to haymon. But honestly i don't see them making anything close to that on nbc.

Kudos to Al for standing up for his boxers against the corrupt powers that be in boxing.

Big surprise. The plan has always been to build this fraud up and then cash him out with a big money Klitschko fight.

Stiverne would destroy Wilder for less money than they would get for getting starched by Wlad, so anybody can put 2 + 2 together on this.

Roc Nation is apparently offering Wider a $2 million purse for the Stiverne fight and an even more substantial 5 fight deal. It looks like Haymon is saying 'no'.

That kinda money is massively more than Wilders even come close to in the past.

On what grounds do you think Haymon would be able to 'guarantee' more money for him. Same way he guaranteed Stevenson a shot at Hopkins? Same way he's guaranteed Quillin a 'big fight'?

How the f#ck is pulling him outta a fight that could make him $2 mil doing what's best for him? What, has Uncle Al lined him up a $10 mil Klitschko fight or something and he's just keeping it quiet? There are no bigger fights out there for Wilder, just as there weren't any bigger fights out there for Quillin - at least in financial terms.

IDK - all I can assume is that for reasons of his own - whether it's to ensure he's got lots of unbeaten fighters on his books for his new promotion, or simply to try to smother Roc Nation at birth, Al Haymon seems suddenly very reluctant for his fighters to fight unless he's controlling both corners of the ring.

To me it's starting to look like Haymon's golden touch ain't working out so well for all his fighters. But hey, as long as you're happy, with these guys avoiding their mandos whether in defense or as a title shot I guess there isn't really an issue. After all, what the hell do I care what Wilder or Quillin get paid.

I for one, though, think that the system of mandatories is one of the few positives to come out of the ABCs and it disappoints me that Haymon seems to be treating them as simply an inconvenience as a matter of routine.

Wouldn't be shocked to see Wilder fight the Ortiz-Chagaev winner instead of Stiverne. They seem to be scared to put Wilder in there with a live body.

    By looking over everyone's shoulder.
Roc nation has a serious presence because Haymon knows if he cannot come to agreement with King, Roc Nation will be involved in the fight in a paper sense.
Right now they are just lurking, and causing Haymon to sweat.
I think King is probably all for Roc Nation, and that may be a major hang up.

More time will pass then we will see Wilder in with one of the interm/midterm/regular/irregular WBA champs.

I might be wrong but Wilder-Stiverne is NOT that big of a fight for this kind of hold-up.
We are about to se Povetkin-Takam go down, and it's a bigger fight in terms of fighter quality with 2 proven top contenders.
Didn't have much trouble making that fight did they?
